Abstract: Provided is a pile preparation unit for changing a pallet support of a pile of sheets with a first end and a second end where the pallet has a support side supporting the pile of sheets at the first end. The pile preparation unit may include a rotation unit configured with an infeed opening for receiving a pallet with a pile of sheets, the rotation unit configured with a rotating structure to rotate a lift unit about a rotational axis. The lift unit is configured with a lift structure fixed to the rotating structure and has a lift plate movable along the lift structure to engage with the second end of the pile of sheets and to move and position the pile of sheets transverse, relative to the rotational axis, providing a portal for changing a pallet.

Abstract: A conveyor with a belt for transporting an object between a first end and a second end of the conveyor is provided. The conveyor may have a first belt drive transmission at the first end and a second belt drive transmission at the second end. The drive transmission may be configured as freewheel-types in respective directions. The conveyor may have an intermediate transmission system arranged between the first end and the second end and having a first communication with the first belt drive transmission and having a second communication with the second belt drive transmission. The conveyor may have a drive system in communication with a drive shaft in the intermediate transmission system, and may be configured to turn the drive shaft bidirectional in a first drive direction and a second drive direction.

Abstract: A bag web, equipment and method for packing items, liquid or bulk goods in film bags, which are conveyed in a continuous bag web of bag items through a filling station is provided. The mouths of the bags are held open for receiving items, after which the bags are closed and are separated from the web. The bag web includes a zip closure, which is applied parallel to the upper edge of the bag web and is continuous for the entire length of the bag web. The zip closure is coupled to the first guide, which is arranged to retain and guide the bag web in the zip closure along a first section of a conveyor path through the equipment.

Abstract: There is disclosed a bag web for packing articles in film bags provided as a contiguous web. At an opening edge, the bag web is provided with peripheral strip areas having holes intended for guide connection with guide means that can retain and guide the bags along a conveyor path through a filling station. The bag items will thus be contiguous along an upper edge, which is used for guiding. The bag webs include the film webs forming opposing front and back sides of the bag and additional film pieces disposed between the flat sides of the bag in order thereby to form side or bottom, or both side and bottom, of the bag. By such a bag web is achieved a particularly simple and rapid filling of the type with stand bottom and with folded side edges.

Abstract: A retrofit ice making and bagging apparatus and retrofit installation method provide automatic supply of bags of ice into a freezer compartment. The apparatus has an outer housing with a lower end configured for securing on top of an aisle freezer so that openings in the lower end of the housing and upper end of the freezer are aligned to provide a passageway into the freezer compartment. An ice making unit and bag making and filling station are mounted in the housing. Ice is transported from the ice making station into partially formed bags at the bag making and filling station, and a bag is sealed and separated when a sufficient amount of ice is supplied to the bag. The bag making and filling station communicates with the passageway into a storage compartment in the freezer, whereby separated bags of ice fall into the storage compartment on completion.

An article is dispensed to a first article transport and distribution section in a main storage unit, and then either delivered to a stacking position in the main unit or transported through a connecting window onto a second transport and distribution section in a satellite storage unit for delivery to a stacking position in that unit. The procedure is repeated to distribute subsequent bags of ice to selected stacking positions in each unit. Additional satellite storage units may be provided and included in the delivery sequence for distributing bags of ice throughout the units. The storage units may be refrigerated, merchandizing units for bagged ice, with the main storage unit associated with an ice bagged ice supply unit which dispenses bags of ice into the unit.

Abstract: An ice bagging apparatus which has a frame defining a first ice collecting zone with a collecting bin and an ice bagging zone, wherein the ice bagging zone has a film feeding mechanism that conveys two heat-sealable elongated plastic film webs and a welding apparatus to form a bag from the webs. The film feeding mechanism has rollers between which film webs are passed and pressed against each other. A measuring arrangement measures ice dispensed into the bag by a first ice transport system positioned between the two film webs that form the bag.
