  • Publication number: 20120145100
Abstract: A device for adjusting the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of a combustion engine includes a supply branch for supplying pressure fluid to setting chambers to generate torque acting on a rotor; and a pressure storage device arranged in the supply branch and including a spring and a storage chamber which can be filled with the pressure fluid against a spring force of the spring, wherein the storage chamber begins to fill, against the spring force, at a start-of-filling pressure which is at most as large as a hot idling pressure which the pressure fluid exhibits when the combustion engine is idling in its hot operational state, and continues to be filled against the spring force if the hot idling pressure is exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20120060683
Abstract: A vacuum pump for supplying a machine assembly with a negative pressure includes a housing and a housing cover surrounding a delivery chamber. The delivery chamber includes a low-pressure region having a working inlet connected to the assembly, and a high-pressure region having a working outlet. A delivery member moveable within the delivery chamber, which, when moved, suctions air into the delivery chamber through the working inlet and expel it at an increased pressure through the working outlet. An outlet valve is arranged at or downstream or the working outlet and at least makes it difficult for air to flow back into the delivery chamber. The delivery chamber is connected to the external environment of the vacuum pump via a ventilating connection in order to establish at least partial pressure equalization with the external environment when the delivery member is stopped and a negative pressure prevails in the delivery chamber.

  • Publication number: 20120037104
Abstract: A method for powder-metallurgically manufacturing a rotational body, including compacting a first starting body is compacted from a metal powder; forming a second starting body from metal, separately from the first starting body; placing the starting bodies against each other in axial contact via end faces in relation to a longitudinal axis of the rotational body; and permanently and firmly sintered the first starting body and the second starting body to each other by collective sintering. The first starting body is compacted from an aluminium-based powder, the second starting body is formed from an aluminium material, and the starting bodies are sintered to each other at their respective end faces.

  • Publication number: 20110220046
Abstract: A cam shaft phase setter including a control valve for controlling the feeding and draining of a hydraulic fluid into and out of a pressure chamber which serves to adjust the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The control valve includes a valve housing with an operating port to the pressure chamber and a reservoir port to a reservoir for the fluid. A valve piston is axially adjustable back and forth in the valve housing between a first position and a second position and includes an axial hollow space, a piston inlet for introducing the fluid into the hollow space, and a piston outlet which leads out of the hollow space and is connected to the operating port in the first position of the valve piston and separated from the operating port in the second position of the valve piston. An actuating unit is coupled to the valve piston for axially adjusting the valve piston.
