  • Patent number: 10619059
Abstract: A method of constructing conductive material in arbitrary three-dimensional (3D) geometries, such as 3D printing. The method may include selective application of an aerosol-based colloidal solution containing a catalytic palladium nanoparticle material onto a substrate and then immersion of the coated substrate into an electro-less plating bath for deposition of conductive copper material. The above steps may be repeated to create arbitrary 3D geometric constructs containing conductive metallic patterns.

  • Publication number: 20200096600
Abstract: A process described herein may be used to determine a first asset's position in a GNSS-limited environment. The process includes transmitting a current position for each of at least three additional assets in wireless messages by wireless transmitters. The current position for each of the at least three additional assets is determined using previously received position data and one more additional measurement generated by instruments on board the additional assets. The transmitted messages are received at a device of the first asset and a processor on the device implements pre-programmed instructions to access the current position for each of the three additional assets and determine the first asset's position using the current position for each of the three additional assets.

  • Patent number: 10459473
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for managing the operations of a plurality of microgrid modules. A microgrid module includes transformers and/or power converters necessary for modifying the input AC or DC power sources to meet the required characteristics of the output power. The microgrid module further comprises a control software module and a power router software module. The control software module receives data from sensors in the microgrid module and controls the flow of power with controllable elements. The power router software module controls the operation of the power router. The power router can detect changes in demand for power within the microgrid module or from other microgrid modules. The power router can adjust the flow of power between the microgrid modules in response to changes in the supply of power to the microgrid module and changes in the demand for power from the microgrid module.

  • Patent number: 10139629
Abstract: Video sources and inertial sensors are attached to a weapon and to goggles. A computer receives video images from the weapon- and goggles-mounted sources and inertial data from the sensors. The computer calculates a location for an image from the weapon-mounted source within an image from the goggles-mounted source using the inertial sensor data. The sensor-based location is checked (and possibly adjusted) based on a comparison of the images. A database contains information about real-world objects in a field of view of the goggles-mounted source, and is used to generate icons or other graphics concerning such objects.

  • Patent number: 9568903
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for controlling the states of a microgrid module. The microgrid module includes transformers and/or power converters necessary for modifying the input AC or DC power sources to meet the required characteristics of the output power. The microgrid module further comprises a control software module installed on a microgrid computer. The control software module receives data associated with the operating state of the microgrid module. The control software module can access rules associated with each microgrid module operating state to determine whether the microgrid module must transition to a different operating state. If a transition is appropriate, the control software module can apply commands to transition the microgrid module to a different operating state. The control software module can continue to monitor the microgrid module to determine when another state transition is appropriate.

  • Patent number: 9217866
Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium and apparatus are described for providing a user interface control for use with a manipulable object, such as a weapon. As the object is moved, images from a video camera are projected into a heads-up display. A user of the object may activate a user interface control by pressing a button on the object, causing an image of a user interface control to be projected into the heads-up display. Movement of the object may cause a cursor to be moved across the heads-up display, allowing the user to select user interface features without removing hands from the object. Pressing a button may cause a mouse click command to be generated, allowing the user to type or perform other functions.

  • Publication number: 20140280142
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses for building data models and performing model-based analytics are presented. A data analytics system may be implemented including software components to provide a data analytics platform and/or a data analytics programming interface. The components of the data analytics system may allow users to create and execute software applications to build data models model-based analytics functionality such as classification and prediction. For example, a programming interface may allow users to build data models of various predetermined model types, such as statistical data models, spatial statistical data models, graphical data models, pattern mining data models, clustering data models, and machine learning data models, among others, based on an input data set. A parallel computing infrastructure, for example, a cloud computing environment, may be used to build data models and perform model-based analytics with distributed processing and distributed storage.

  • Patent number: 8817103
Abstract: A system and method for aligning video images with an underlying visual field are provided. A video camera is coupled with a heads up display, and a computer positions images from the video camera on the heads up display based on the relative orientations of the camera and the display. As the video camera moves with respect to the display, the images are repositioned within the heads up display. The video image, which may, for example, come from a weapon sight, is aligned within the heads up display so that an observer can easily view the camera image without having to shift focus from the larger scene.
