Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging method and a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus are provided, which can obtain a high-quality image at high speed without obstructions, such as an artifact by a distribution of a magnetic susceptibility and a myoneural stimulus by an eddy current using only radio frequency magnetic field (rotating magnetic field) gradients so as to obtain positional information.

Abstract: Signal components of different physiological origins are accurately separated and information about each component is provided, even when a signal change related to local neuronal activity and signal fluctuations related to other physiological origins coexist. It is achieved by a method for separating and extracting information on physiological functions, wherein a mathematical model is built to describe an input/output relationship for functional measurement data on a pixel or channel basis, and information on signal components of various physiological origins is separated and extracted from the functional measurement data.

Abstract: A method and computer system are described for generating compressed image data, and for rendering pixel data using the compressed image data.
A plurality of hulls are defined in the image, each hull being defined as a set of polygons in a desired coordinate system. For at least some of said hulls, a portal is defined, each portal being defined as a set of point in the designated coordinate system for that hull. A viewing transform allows the portal to be mapped to another, target hull. A data structure is stored which holds the defined hulls and portals in a manner describing their physical relationship in the image. The data structure can be transmitted via a number of different mediums and represents the compressed image data which can be used to generate pixel data to generate an image at a remote location.
Abstract: Novel 2,3-disubstituted levulinaldehydes I are prepared in seven steps from readily available acrylates and acetoacetic esters. ##SPC1##They are useful intermediates in the preparation of prostaglandins.
