  • Publication number: 20210095614
Abstract: An apparatus includes a valve and an actuator. The valve has a portion movably disposed within a valve pocket defined by a cylinder head of an engine. The valve is configured to move relative to the cylinder head a distance between a closed position and an opened position. The portion of the valve defines a flow opening that is in fluid communication with a cylinder of an engine when the valve is in the opened position. The actuator is configured to selectively vary the distance between the closed position and the opened position.

  • Patent number: 8899205
Abstract: A method includes coupling a cylinder head to a cylinder block. A valve member is then moved into a valve pocket defined by the cylinder head such that a first stem portion of the valve member engages an actuator. A first portion of the biasing member is then disposed against a second stem portion of the valve member, the second stem portion being opposite the first stem portion. An end plate is then coupled to the cylinder head such that a second portion of the biasing member engages the end plate.

  • Publication number: 20140339380
Abstract: An accessory mounting system comprises a vertically aligned bracket configured to mate with a top corner block and a bottom corner block disposed below the top corner block of a pre-configured shipping container. A shaft may mount to the vertically aligned bracket and may have a first section slidable into a second section. In some examples, an accessory may be coupled to the shaft. The accessory may be elevated above a top plane of the pre-configured shipping container when the first section is slid at least partially out of the second section and the accessory mounting system is in an extended position. The accessory may be disposed next to the pre-configured shipping container when the first section is slid at least partially into the second section and the accessory mounting system is in a retracted position.

  • Patent number: 5024292
Abstract: A portable ladder assembly adapted to be removably mounted in the space between a body and a rail spaced therefrom, e.g. between the body of a conventional truck trailer and tie down rail. The ladder has a main ladder section having an elongated vertical support member and a plurality of step members transversely secured thereto. Means are disposed adjacent a top end of the elongated member for removably securing an upper end of the main ladder section in the space between the body and the tie down rail. Extension members are provided for extending the ladder above the rail to facilitate personnel climbing on the ladder assmbly. An optional lower ladder section having at least one transverse step member supported by at least one elongated member attached to the main ladder section adjacent a lower end thereof is repositionable between at least two different elevations.

  • Patent number: 4894488
Abstract: A cable and method for making such cable is disclosed. The cable is especially suited for high frequency applications in which electrical attenuation and dissipation factor are of critical importance. The cable comprises a tubular outer conductor, and at least one inner conductor for transmission of electrical signals. Between the inner and outer conductor is a foamed dielectric material. This dielectric is formed from the extrusion of an olefin polymer or a fluoropolymer with a blowing agent gas. Sulfurhexafluoride (SF.sub.6), rather than environmentally unsafe chlorofluorocarbons, is used as a blowing agent to foam the dielectric.
