To win the game the player must have a higher numeric value in both their high and low hands as compared to the dealer's high and low hands. A special high rank is ascribed to a high hand having a sum of 21 achieved through the combination of two ten-valued cards and one Ace. An option side wager is won by the player if the numerical sums of the player's high and low hands match.

An electronic representation of a standard deck of fifty-two playing cards is used to deal an initial hand of twenty-eight Tableau cards and twenty-four Side Cards. The Tableau cards are placed into seven columns according to the traditional manner. The player plays the initial hand according to the rules of the particular style of solitaire, for example Klondike-style, and is awarded credits, bonus games or other tokens of a value if at least one exposed card matches a predetermined criteria.

An optional Double Up wager allows the player to increase the value of their primary wager without accepting any additional cards into their hand. In the secondary side wager, the High and/or Low hands are viewed as a Blackjack hand which is resolved against a pay table representing a plurality of outcomes. Various tertiary bonus schemes may include, for examples, a bonus based on all cards considered against a poker table, a bonus paid on consideration of one, two, three, four or five cards, consideration of the High and Low hands separately or collectively based on a Low Sum pay table, etc.
