Patent number: 10584516Abstract: A modular latch bar is formed from a first segment that is configured to be connected to a locker handle and one or more extension segments which are attached to the first segment. One of the segments has an elongated body having a front surface, a back surface, a first end and a second end; and a T-shaped locking tab extending from the first end. Another segment has an elongated body having a front surface, a back surface, a first end and a second end. This segment has a T-shaped recess on the back surface. The T-shaped recess is sized and configured to receive the T-shaped locking tab and create a friction fit between the T-shaped locking tab and segment having the T-shaped recess. A post may be provided in the recess that fits into a hole in the T-shaped locking tab to provide a snap fit connection.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2016Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Scranton Products, Inc.Inventors: Robert K. Patent number: 9834926Abstract: In a partition system partitions there are two or more doors, positioned in a common plane. Adjacent doors have angled sides that meet when the doors are closed. Each door is attached to a post or partition by a pair of hinges and is mounted so that there is a space adjacent each side surface of the doors when the front surfaces of those doors are parallel to the common plane. When the front surfaces of those doors are parallel to the common plane each door is mounted so that and any sight line through each space will intersect at least one of the spaced apart posts and the spaced apart partitions when the front surfaces of the doors are parallel to the common plane. The hinges may provide an axis of rotation that is inward from the edge of the door. The partitions are preferably mounted on frame members that have an L-shaped or inverted T-shaped cross-section. The partitions have a slot along one side which receives the upright portion of the frame members.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2016Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Assignee: Scranton Products, Inc.Inventors: Mitchell Ray Bakker, Christopher Michael George

Patent number: 8333412Abstract: A locker has a latch bar attached to the inside surface of door by projections that extend through respective slots in the bar. The slots are configured to permit the bar to move parallel to the door between an extended position and a retracted position, the extended position being horizontally offset from the retracted position. An actuator plate is positioned between the inside surface of the door and the latch bar and is connected to a handle on the outside surface of the door. The at least one pair of spaced rollers is provided on the actuator plate. A diagonal rib is attached to the latch bar for each pair of rollers. Each diagonal rib is positioned between a respective pair of spaced apart rollers, such that when the handle and actuator plate are moved vertically, each pair of rollers will move along the diagonal rib positioned between that pair of rollers causing the latch bar to move horizontally.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2009Date of Patent: December 18, 2012Assignee: Scranton Products Inc.Inventor: Steven W. Publication number: 20120028001Abstract: A partition panel is made of two overlaying sheets of high density polyethylene or other plastic material which have been bonded together around a perimeter and at selected regions such that the partition panel contains bonded regions where the two sheets are bonded together and hollow regions where the two sheets are spaced apart from one another. The partition panel is preferably made by thermoforming.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2010Publication date: February 2, 2012Applicant: SCRANTON PRODUCTS INC.Inventors: Hilary Farnsworth, David Daiute, Stew Mitchell
