  • Patent number: 10749624
Abstract: A method for managing a telecommunication network comprising the steps of identification, by the central controller, of an updated condition of availability of resources of the network, and association of a plurality of updated sequences of instructions, comparison of the plurality of updated sequences of instructions with a plurality of not updated sequences of instructions associated with the last condition of availability. In case that the plurality of updated sequences of instructions is different from the plurality of not updated sequences of instructions, a step is provided of sending an updated sequence of instructions to each nodal device, on the basis of the service class of the data traffic of the device. A step is furthermore provided of checking, by the local controller, a condition of service of the data traffic at time ranges ?, said updated sequence of instructions associating to each condition of service an optimal working status to be attributed to the data traffic.

  • Patent number: 9764809
Abstract: A device, which is autonomous or which can be associated with another structure, for propulsion in a liquid environment, is described. The device has a bladder body made of a soft material, developing along and around a central longitudinal axis, defining an internal chamber between a dorsal wall and a ventral wall; in the bladder body, an inlet opening and an outlet opening of a liquid in and out of the chamber, arranged at a longitudinal end of the body; and drive means for driving a contraction of the bladder, arranged on the dorsal wall and having a mechanical connection with the ventral to cyclically attract the ventral wall to the dorsal wall, thereby causing a pulsed ejection of a propeller jet from the chamber through the outlet opening.

  • Patent number: 9365420
Abstract: A three-dimensional nanoresonator structure has a stack of laterally confined layers including at least a first layer and a second layer of different conductive materials between which a dielectric layer is interposed. The layers have at least a respective accessible surface area exposed to an environment in which the structure is immersed. Multiple three-dimensional nanoresonators that can be dispersed in an environment are formed from an array of nanoresonators fixed to a sacrificial substrate. The nanoresonators are subsequently separated from the substrate and conjugated with a chemical agent adapted to promote the formation of a stable colloidal suspension of nanoresonators in a liquid medium.

  • Patent number: 9314933
Abstract: A robot having an overall structure inspired by the Octopus vulgaris is described. The robot has soft arms joined in a radial manner to a central support. The soft arms have the capability of lengthening, shortening and wrapping around in a coil-shape manner. The extremely simple movements and coordination of the soft arms are effective because of the interaction between the single actions. For example during locomotion, while some arms act as a support for stability, the others provide for thrusting allowing the robot to advance. Once near the target, some arms provide for stability whereas the others can bend so as to wrap around and transport external entities.

  • Patent number: 9314923
Abstract: A robotic limb is described. The robotic limb has a closed tubular casing made of viscoelastic material defining a chamber containing an incompressible fluid. The closed tubular casing has a sheath formed by substantially inextensible intertwined wires. In the chamber there are groups of transverse actuators axially spaced from each other, connected to the sheath and adapted to reversibly contract the closed tubular casing at least partly in the radial direction. The robotic limb also has longitudinal actuators adapted to reversibly contract the closed tubular casing at least partly in the axial direction being connected to each of the groups of transverse actuators.

  • Patent number: 9028468
Abstract: A robotic arm especially suited for laparoscopic surgery, having a torsional joint and a flexural joint forming serially arranged joints is described. The joints provide respective degrees of freedom for the arm, which further receives drive means for such joints. The robotic arm also has transmission means placed between the drive means have and the joints. The transmission means a first and a second assembly of three gear wheels, preferably conical gear wheels, and a train of three additional gear wheels, preferably straight-cut gear wheels, which couple the first and second assembly to form a differential mechanism.
