Patent number: 4922216Abstract: An electromagnetic switching device comprises a solenoid actuator 18 including an armature 22, the reciprocating movement of which is converted by a pair of levers 25, 26 to a reciprocating counter-movement of a contact slider 16 extending parallel thereto. The contact slider 16 is provided with bridge contacts 17b which cooperate with stationary contacts 12 fixed within a base 10. Outwardly projecting guide members 30 which are provided on the solenoid actuator 18 and extend through recesses 31 formed in the levers 25, 26 serve to support the latter. Upon assembly, the solenoid actuator 18 is equipped with the levers 25, 26 and the contact slider 16 to form an assembly unit which is inserted as it is into the base 10. In this assembly unit, the levers 25, 26 are retained in position so that the assembly step can be performed easily and rapidly without any mounting aids.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1988Date of Patent: May 1, 1990Assignee: SDS - Relais AGInventor: Bernhard Dietrich

Patent number: 4814564Abstract: A bounce-free acceleration switch includes a resiliently mounted movable contact (14) which cooperates with a counter contact (15). The kinetic energy of the movable contact (14) is transmitted through an impact body (16) to a resiliently mounted massive body (17) which, when swinging back to its rest position, engages a stop (18). Re-transmission of the kinetic energy from the massive body (17) to the impact body (16) and thus to the contact couple (14, 15), which would cause contact bouncing, is prevented by providing a spacing (s) between the massive body (17) and the impact body (16) in the rest position of the apparatus, and by the fact that during the deflecting and swinging-back movement of the massive body (17) the impact body (16) returns towards its rest position and is therefore not hit again by the massive body (17).Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1987Date of Patent: March 21, 1989Assignee: SDS-Relais AGInventor: Heinz Ritter

Patent number: 4563052Abstract: A metallic plug and socket are joined to each other by a bayonet locking device to define an interior space which contains the contacts and which is sealed against the intrusion of electromagnetic waves by an O-ring as well as by a resilient contactor ring between the metallic casings of the plug and the socket. The contactor ring consists of a comb-like slit spring strip having a cross-piece lies between the plug and a contact inset and has comb roots pointed toward the socket. The comb tines are turned in a direction away from each other and recessed into the interior wall of the plug. The diameter of the contactor ring is greater in the range of the ends of the comb tines than is the diameter of the forward end of the socket casing which is to be pushed into place. The contact insert is provided with flanges which press the turned comb roots of the contactor ring into a groove in the wall of the plug.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1982Date of Patent: January 7, 1986Assignee: SDS Relais AGInventor: Bernhard Dietrich

Patent number: 4560966Abstract: A polarized electromagnet comprises a generally E-shaped yoke including a pair of outer legs and an intermediate leg therebetween, the three legs being interconnected by a base portion, and a coil wound about the intermediate leg. A generally U-shaped armature comprises a permanent magnet and two pole plates attached to both ends of the permanent magnet. The armature is so positioned that each pole plate extends between the intermediate leg and a respective one of the outer legs of the yoke. The armature may be fitted into a generally U-shaped resin member integrally molded with portions extending outwardly to opposite sides of the pole plates and slidable engaged in guide slots provided in the outer yoke legs. When used in an electromagnetic relay, these projecting portions form actuating members engaging movable contacts of the relay.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1984Date of Patent: December 24, 1985Assignees: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd., SDS-Relais AGInventors: Mitsuki Nagamoto, Ikuo Hashiya
