Patents Assigned to Sealed Unit Parts Co., Inc.
  • Patent number: 5528120
Abstract: A starting circuit for a single-phase induction motor having a start capacitor, an auxiliary or start winding, and a run winding includes user adjustable pick-up voltage means to allow a user to select a pick-up voltage in the field to correspond to the pick-up voltage of a particular induction motor such that a relay disconnects the start winding from the power supply when the start winding voltage exceeds the selected pick-up voltage. Protective circuitry is provided including a timing circuit to protect from missetting of the pick-up voltage or when the motor will not start for any reason and a relay current circuit to control the current flowing in the relay to protect from high voltage overloading.

  • Patent number: 4777827
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed in which a digital display is driven by an electronic output generated in response to field changes which occur when a transformer interacts with a magnetic core driven in a linearized path by a curved Bourbon tube in response to applied ambient pressure. The transformer is a simple variable transformer and the core is configured to follow a radial path within the field of the transformer.

  • Patent number: 4143843
Abstract: An assembly is disclosed which comprises brackets and a template for facilitating the mounting of a replacement article such as a compressor or the like on an existing base. The brackets are adapted for adjustable mounting on the base and the template has arms joined in adjustable relationship by a central pivot clamp so that the brackets and template can cooperate to establish an index which will align mounting elements in the base in coincident relationship with corresponding mounting elements on the replacement article.

  • Patent number: 4100468
Abstract: An electric motor control circuit, especially for a split phase motor, in which a positive temperature coefficient resistor is interposed in the starting winding circuit to substantially remove the starting winding from the circuit after the motor has started while a temperature sensitive switch is provided in series with the motor to deenergize the motor when it is overloaded. The positive temperature coefficient resistor element has a temperature sensitive element associated therewith which prevents the temperature sensitive switch from activating to a closed position from an open position whenever the resistor element is above a predetermined temperature.
