Abstract: In embodiments of systems and methods for enabling voting by a controlled-environment (e.g., correctional) facility resident (e.g., incarcerated individual), a controlled-environment facility management system, or the like, may determine federal, state and/or local laws and/or rules concerning the resident's legal right to vote and determine whether the resident is registered to vote in a jurisdiction in which the resident is deemed to reside, with respect to the resident's right to vote in the jurisdiction. In response to a determination that the resident is not registered to vote in that jurisdiction, the facility management system, or the like, may provide documents required for the resident to register to vote, to the resident, for completion and/or execution. The facility management system, or the like, may file, in the jurisdiction in which the resident is deemed to reside, resident-executed documents required for the resident to register to vote.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods may dynamically arrange icons on a screen of a controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media device in accordance with criteria selected or defined by a controlled-environment facility housing a controlled-environment facility resident operating the device, and/or criteria selected or defined by a controlled-environment facility vendor, in compliance with rules and regulations of the facility housing the resident as applicable with respect to the resident. This criteria may include arranging the icons based on frequency of use of the application program (app), bandwidth availability revenue to the facility and/or vendor, time remaining for the resident to reside in the facility, a classification of the resident with respect to the facility, an upcoming or occurring holiday, offence(s) a resident-incarcerated individual has been convicted of and/or is incarcerated for, and/or the like.

Abstract: A location-based analytics system provides tracking and visualization of individuals within a controlled-environment facility. A plurality of sensors, such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) sensors, are located within the controlled-environment facility and detect individuals located within a first proximity to the sensors. An analytics system determines the identity of individuals detected by the sensors and reports the locations of the identified individuals. A user interface provides the ability to select the display of the location and movement of selected individuals of the identified individuals on a three-dimensional model of the controlled-environment facility. The user interface also provides the ability to select a three-dimensional representation for the selected individuals and various other aspects of the controlled-environment facility.

Abstract: Dynamic controlled-environment facility resident media broadcasting services transmit, via a controlled-environment facility local area network, a controlled-environment facility wireless media channel within a controlled-environment facility, playing a playlist available to controlled-environment facility residents to listen to, on respective personal controlled-environment facility resident media devices of the residents. An option for one of the residents to control content of the playlist and/or an option to suggest content for the playlist is offered on the respective personal resident media devices of the residents. Content of the playlist may be adjusted based on suggestions by the residents, such as in response to no resident accepting the offer to control content of the playlist.

Abstract: System, devices and methods are provided for providing a resident of a controlled-environment facility with services via a communications device, where access to software components, software features and/or content on the communication device may be restricted based on the results of a mental health assessment administered via the communication device. The communication device utilized by the resident connects to a resident communications system that provides use of requested software elements. If a requested software element is determined to be restricted, the resident must complete a mental health assessment that determines a distress level of the resident. The distress level may be determined based on inputs provided by the resident and sensor inputs collected by the communication device. If the mental health assessment indicates the distress level of the resident is below a threshold, the resident is allowed to utilize the software element.

Abstract: Investigative systems and methods linking controlled-environment facility residents and associated non-resident telephone numbers to e-commerce application program (app) purchases capture (a) non-resident telephone number(s) associated with (an) electronic communication(s) with a controlled-environment facility resident and/or (a) telephone number(s) associated with a non-resident communicating with a controlled-environment facility resident. E-commerce app accounts associated with the captured telephone number(s) are determined, e-commerce app account(s) associated with the captured telephone number(s) is (are) accessed and information about purchases made by a non-resident associated with the accessed e-commerce app account(s), through the accessed app account(s) is gathered.
