    Abstract: An electric door lock is disclosed comprising an elongated housing for mounting in a door or frame member, a bolt slidably mounted in the housing for movement between a first position and a second position with the first position being a projected locking position and the second position being a retracted nonlocking position, a spring for normally urging the bolt towards one of the first and second positions, a solenoid for electrically actuating the bolt to the other of the first and second positions with the solenoid having a plunger element moveable from a first position to a second position, a connector assembly for connecting the plunger element to the bolt to move the bolt to the other of the first and second positions by movement of the plunger element to the second position, and a manually operative rotative assembly for mechanically moving the plunger element to the second position.
