Abstract: The invention relates to a folding bed which is covered with a mattress (9) and comprises a head frame, back frame and foot frame (8, 7, 6) which are connected to one another in an articulated manner and are arranged in a collapsed state in a basic frame (1) or box such that they can be raised and lowered by means of a lifting mechanism (4), in which case the lifting mechanism (4) comprises scissors-type lifting arrangements which are provided on both sides of the head frame (8), are spring-loaded for lifting action, and have their top ends articulated on the end sides of the head frame (8), and that the first scissors arm (47) is articulated, at the top end, on a short block link (43) at the back-part head-frame end at an articulation (44) on which acts a link plate (42) which is connected in an articulated manner to a control arm (41) and is connected to a spacing head-frame connector (20) of the head frame (8) and of the back frame (7).

Abstract: Furniture element forming convertible desk and bed This furniture element comprises a frame to which is linked a desk by link means in the form of a deformable parallelogram and arranged to keep the desk horizontal during its movement between its positions of use and non-use, a bed that moves rotation-wise about a horizontal pin between a vertical position of non-use and a horizontal position of use, and transmission means arranged to move the bed from its position of use to its position of non-use while the desk is being moved from its position of non-use to its position of use, and vice versa. The swivel pin of the bed moves vertically translation-wise relative to the frame of the furniture element between a bottom position close to the floor when the bed is in the position of non-use and a top position away from the floor when the bed is in the position of use.

Abstract: A piece of furniture convertible from a seat into a bed and having a seat portion and an adjoining back portion which is connected thereto by a hinge for enabling the seat portion and the back portion to rotate with respect to one another between an automatically stabilized seat position of the piece of furniture, wherein the angle between both portions is minimal, and a flat position of the piece of furniture, wherein the angle between both portions is maximal. Further there are provided legs for supporting the seat portion in the seat position and the seat portion and the back portion in the flat position of the piece of furniture. Located between the seat portion and the back portion is a locking device for locking the seat portion and the back portion with respect to one another in the seat position.
