Abstract: A multiple polarization antenna element comprises a combination of a waveguide radiator and a dipole radiator disposed across the waveguide aperture. The dipole radiator is orientated to radiate a polarization perpendicular to the radiation from the waveguide aperture. Independent means are provided for supplying wave energy signals to the waveguide and dipole radiators. The arrangement of the elements is such that both polarizations are radiated from substantially the same phase center.
Abstract: An E plane folded hybrid for use in waveguide circuits has a coaxial difference port. The hybrid design is particlarly useful for applications using half-height or ridge waveguide wherein the junction region of the hybrid is of insufficient size to provide a waveguide difference port.
