Patents Assigned to Seeburn Metal Products Limited
  • Patent number: 5381707
Abstract: A lifting jack for automobiles has an extension arm with a particular fastener which may be used to connect longitudinally elongated tubular sections. A series of interlocking sections are provided which need not be identical (e.g. in particular having different ends). The sections are linked in a positive lock (snap fit) by a fastener having one or more resilient legs biasing a lug.

  • Patent number: 4203578
Abstract: A bumper jack for vehicles is provided having improved stability. This bumper jack includes the usual ratchet bar and load lifting housing mounted on the bar for movement therealong. According to the novel feature, the load lifting housing comprises steel side walls surrounding the ratchet bar, with these side walls at one side of the ratchet bar forming a lower inclined bumper engageable ledge and an upper inclined bumper engageable ledge. At the lower edge of each ledge is an upwardly projecting finger member, with each finger having an upwardly and outwardly sloping edge adjacent a ledge, forming a trough between the finger and the ledge. These fingers are adapted to extend through a pair of vertically aligned slots in a bumper, thereby providing both lateral stability and fore and aft stability when lifting a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4084791
Abstract: A resiliently tiltable load supporting base for vehicle jacks is described. The base has a ground engaging base plate having a substantially flat bottom with a convex dome formed at the center thereof. This base has a peripheral stiffening rim with a vertical edge merging into a flared skirt. A load receiving plate with a flat top and downturned peripheral edge is mounted within the base. This load receiving plate has a socket for holding a screw jack post, the bottom wall of the socket having a concave depression pressed into the lower face thereof which rests on the base plate dome. The base plate and load receiving plate are retained together by means of a pin extending through the dome. Hard rubber blocks are mounted between the plates, and are uniformly spaced around the socket to maintain the plates in parallel relationship, while permitting some resilient tilting of a vehicle jack with respect to the base plate.
