    Abstract: A futon has cooling flow passages that are provided in a substantially parallel and planar manner. Air at a temperature lower than the body temperature is blown through the cooling flow passages substantially parallel to the body surface of a person lying on the futon. As a result, the temperature gradient near the body surface is increased so as to release heat from the body, resulting in a feeling of coolness.
