Abstract: In an infant warming device, an isolation mounting system supports the weight of an integrated touch screen assembly during transport and during transport, but does not apply any forces normal to the plane of the display that would weaken the adhesive bonds between the touch screen cover glass and the touch screen, and the touch screen and the display, which could cause separation of the integrated touch screen.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a caregiver the capability of modifying the tone and volume of an audible alarm for a medical device based on non-contact methods.
Abstract: An integrated and movable video and/or still camera is integrated into a warming therapy device to allow caregivers to point the camera in an area of interest in which they are interested in recording or displaying the patient located on a support surface. The system may include an audio recording device.

Abstract: A bi-directional remote communications system with both display and control capability allowing 2 way communications between one or more remote devices and one or more infant warming devices. The system could update the remote device with all current display parameters and information from the infant warming device and will also allow changes made on the handheld device to update the infant warming device.
Abstract: An alarm sensing and backup system for patient devices that senses when the normal alarm sensing system is not sounding properly and sounds an independent backup alarm.
Abstract: A code support device providing emergency code displays for caregivers responsible for infant patients in an infant care device. The code support device has a graphic user interface display for gathering, recording and displaying information used in the routine operation of the infant care device and when needed displays a code screen in response to an emergency situation that directs caregivers through a preprogrammed emergency code of activity to respond to the emergency.

Abstract: A method for removing bubbles adhering to the interior wall of a fluid-filled chamber through which a fluid flows, and a related method and apparatus for removing bubbles from a chamber having medical sensory equipment such as a blood gas and chemistry analyzer. The method includes drawing a quantity of gas into the chamber to empty the chamber of fluid, maintaining the chamber in an empty state for a predetermined period of time, and then refilling the chamber with fluid at a rate low enough to remove remaining bubbles and to prevent the formation and trapping of new bubbles within the chamber.
