Abstract: Provided is a liquid injecting apparatus equipped with a liquid injecting head, which is mounted on a carriage and moved reciprocally in a widthwise direction of a target, and a valve unit, which is mounted on the carriage to be supplied with liquid via a supply passage from a liquid retainer and to supply liquid to the liquid injecting head. The valve unit has a pressure chamber connected to the liquid retainer via the supply passage; a valve, which opens or closes the supply passage to supply liquid to the pressure chamber; and a flexible film member, which is displaced based on a negative pressure generated as liquid in the pressure chamber decreases to thereby operate the valve.
Abstract: A projection type display device includes dichroic mirrors which separate the light from the light source into light of the three primary colors R, G and B, a plurality of color modulation light valves upon which the light beams separated by the dichroic mirrors are respectively incident and comprising a plurality of picture elements which are capable of being individually controlled with regard to their transmittivity ratios, a dichroic prism which combines the light beams from the color modulation light valves, a relay lens which forms the optical images of the color modulation light valves upon the picture element surface of a reflective type liquid crystal light valve, and a reflective type liquid crystal light valve upon which the light from the relay lens is incident and comprising a plurality of picture elements whose reflectivity ratios can be individually controlled.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of driving an electronic circuit, a method of driving an electronic apparatus, a method of driving an electro-optical apparatus, and an electronic device with which occurrence of a pseudo contour, deviation of an image, etc. is inhibited when moving pictures are displayed, serving to improve moving-picture characteristics. In particular, after light emission by an organic EL element of each pixel circuit is started, a second switching transistor is turned on during a reset period, whereby a hold capacitor is connected to a power-supply voltage via a driving transistor and the second switching transistor. Thus, the hold capacitor is reset to a reset voltage at or above and the driving transistor is turned off. Accordingly, supply of a current to the organic EL element is inhibited, so that the organic EL element stops emitting light.
