Abstract: In a method of processing a character in a tape printer, the tape printer has an editing storage area including an editing operation sub-area for editing an inputted character string and a registration sub-area for registering and saving a character string to be used later. The method is made up of a first step of securing a temporary area for temporarily storing a character string outside the editing storage area, a second step of storing a character string stored in the editing operation sub-area into the temporary area after the first step, a third step of storing a character string stored in the registration sub-area into the editing operation sub-area after the second step, a fourth step of storing the character string stored in the temporary area into the registration sub-area after the third step, and a fifth step of releasing the temporary area after the fourth step.

Abstract: There are provided a tape printing apparatus that is capable of enhancing the operability thereof in inputting text data by providing an edit area aside from a text data input area where text data can be input, on a display screen, and a data input processing method therefor. The inputted data is recognized in a manner distinguishing between data within the maximum printable number of lines and data in excess of the maximum printable number of lines. Of the inputted data, there are displayed not only the data recognized to be within the maximum printable number of lines but also data of a predetermined number of lines in excess of the maximum printable number of lines.

Abstract: A stamp-making apparatus is provided in which a transparent presser plate is arranged such that the presser plate is parallel with a stamp-making object material, an ink ribbon having a stamp image formed thereon is urged against the stamp-making object material via the presser plate, and exposure of the stamp-making object material to light is carried out via the ink ribbon as a mask. A ribbon feeder rolls out an ink ribbon wound around one end portion thereof to a position facing the stamp-making object material, and then rolls up the ink ribbon around another end portion thereof. A relative translation of the presser plate and the stamp-making object material is made toward each other by moving at least one of the presser plate and the stamp-making object material to thereby urge the ink ribbon against the stamp-making object material. Guide means guides the ink ribbon when the ink ribbon is fed, to space between the presser plate and the stamp-making object material.

Abstract: A tape processing device has a feed device, a cutter assembly, and a coating device. The feed device feeds a tape having a layer of an adhesive. The cutter assembly has at least one cutting blade and cuts the tape. The coating device applies an adhesion-preventing liquid on the at least one cutting blade of the cutter assembly to thereby prevent any of the tape and the adhesive of the tape from adhering to the at least one cutting blade of the cutter assembly.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved tape printing device for printing a desirable series of characters in a preferable balance on a tape through a simple operation. The tape printing device of the invention is used for printing text data in a plurality of lines along a width of the tape and in a plurality of paragraphs along a predetermined length of the tape.

Abstract: There is provided a stamp material comprising a stamp portion and a stock for holding the stamp portion. The stamp portion includes a stamp surface-forming portion for forming a stamp surface therefrom. The stamp portion is removably mounted in the stock. According to another aspect, there is provided a stamp material-setting jig for setting the stamp material in a stamp-making apparatus. The stamp material-setting jig has a mounting recess formed in one surface for mounting the stock therein, and a positioning portion formed in an opposite surface to the one surface for effecting positioning of the stamp material in the stamp-making apparatus.
