  • Patent number: 4119892
Abstract: A light emitting indicating circuit comprises a first and second inverter circuit which are each comprised of a pair of complementary transistors connected in series. A motor driving coil and a capacitor are connected in series between respective outputs of the inverter circuits, and the inverter circuits are effective for applying repetitive complementary electrical driving signals for repetitively flowing a current in alternating directions through the series combination of motor driving coil and capacitor to repetitively energize the motor driving coil. An indicating circuit responsive to the electrical driving signals indicates energization of the motor driving coil. The indicating circuit is comprised of a light emitting diode connected in parallel with the motor driving coil for emitting light to indicate energization of the motor driving coil.

  • Patent number: 4110772
Abstract: A camera shutter has a set of shutter blades movable from an initial closed position in which the blades close an exposure aperture to an open position opening the exposure aperture and then to a final closed position again closing the exposure aperture. Opening and closing driving members sequentially drive the shutter blades from the initial closed position to the open position and then to the final closed position to effect an exposure. A cocking mechanism coacts with the opening and closing driving members for cocking the camera shutter to move the shutter blades from the final closed position to the initial closed position in readiness for taking an exposure. A rebound preventing device is provided for preventing rebound of the shutter blades after reaching their final closed positions and comprises a notched pin on a lever of the cocking mechanism engageable with a hook portion of the closing drive member to thereby prevent rebounding of the shutter blades.

  • Patent number: 4107708
Abstract: An electric shutter circuit having an exposure time display disabled in synchronism with the opening of a camera shutter. A brightness-time conversion circuit and a pulse generator together develops a plurality of pulses the number of which is representative of the exposure time and which are stored in a reversible counter. Upon actuation of a shutter release mechanism a display circuit is enabled to display the exposure time by displaying a visual signal determined by the number of pulses stored in the reversible counter. The display circuit is disabled in synchronism with the shutter opening. In one embodiment a Schmidt trigger circuit is triggered by the shutter release mechanism to disable the display circuit.

  • Patent number: 4104859
Abstract: A driving wheel is mounted on the output shaft of a step motor, and a driven wheel engaging with gear wheels on which pointers are set is driven by said driving wheel. The driving wheel and the drive wheel have respective peripheral portions effective to couple the driving wheel with the driven wheel to rotate the driven wheel as the driving wheel rotates of an angular interval of rotation, and for thereafter disengaging the driving member from the driven member. In order to fix the position of a pointer after the driving wheel has finished rotating the driven wheel, the reversal preventing mechanism acts on the said driven wheel or the driving wheel. The driving wheel is driven by a stepping motor having a rotor which intermittently rotates in one direction through a predetermined angular interval to a rest position. The driven wheel is in turn intermittently rotated by the driving wheel to intermittently change the position of the pointer.

  • Patent number: 4092657
Abstract: An electrically operated shutter in which an exposure aperture is opened by actuation of a shutter blade opening member and closed by actuation of a shutter blade closing member and exposure time is controlled in accordance with the duration of excitation of an electromagnet. The shutter is comprised of a disengaging member for causing said shutter blade closing member to actuate upon being attracted to the electromagnet during excitation thereof, and an engaging member for causing the shutter blade opening member to actuate upon being actuated by the movement of a control member if the shutter is released. When the electromagnet is not normally energized, the disengaging member is engaged by a cam portion of the engaging member on the initial operating period of shutter release and disengaged upon lapse of a preselected time from the shutter opening operation.

  • Patent number: 4091401
Abstract: The operating mechanism for a camera shutter comprises a pivoted actuating member for opening the shutter and a pivoted actuating member for closing the shutter. A driving spring for biasing each of the actuating members in actuating direction has one end acting on the respective actuating member and the other end supported by a ratchet wheel which is coaxial with respective actuating member so that the spring bias can be varied by rotary movement of the ratchet wheel. Spring finger portions of a spring plate which overlies the shutter operating mechanism engage the ratchet wheels to retain them in selected angular positions against the reaction forces of the respective springs. Portions of the spring plate support the spring fingers intermediate their attachment to the spring plate and their free ends engaging the respective ratchet wheels.

  • Patent number: 4081810
Abstract: In a camera having an aperture and a shutter of the type having opening blades and closing blades operable sequentially to make an exposure, an opening member for actuating the opening blades is releasably coupled to a driving member which is spring biased in a direction to move the opening blades to open position to initiate an exposure. A spring bias is also applied to a closing member for actuating the closing blades in a direction to close the camera aperture and thereby terminate the exposure. As the closing blades approach closed position, the closing member actuates the connecting member so as to release the opening member from the driving member and also engages the opening member so as to move it in a direction to return the opening blades toward set or aperture-closing position.
