Abstract: A pre-treatment indicator corresponding to a symptom level of a patient before treatment and a post-treatment indicator corresponding to a symptom level of the patient after treatment are obtained and stored in a storage unit in association with information indicating a treatment technique used in acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, the pre-treatment indicator and the post-treatment indicator being entered based on selection by the patient from indicators representing symptom levels of a symptom treated by the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, the patient receiving the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. When the information indicating the treatment technique is specified, the treatment technique, the pre-treatment indicator, and the post-treatment indicator are read from the storage unit and are output.

Abstract: A treatment template, which is selected based on a symptom of a patient among treatment templates in each of which a symptom to be treated by acupuncture and moxibustion treatment is associated with treatment information indicating a treatment site for the symptom and a procedure to be performed at the treatment site, is read and obtained from a storage unit. Then, an electronic medical record of the patient to which the treatment information included in the obtained treatment template is applied is generated and stored in the storage unit.

Abstract: An acupuncture needle packaging container includes a container body having a plurality of storage recesses arranged side by side, each of the plurality of storage recesses configured to store an acupuncture needle, and a peripheral portion positioned higher than a bottom portion of the plurality of storage recesses; a sheet member configured to cover the container body; and a bendable portion crossing a longitudinal direction of a needle grip of the acupuncture needle. When the container body is bent, at the bendable portion, into an inverted V-shape and placed on a mounting surface, the container body has a rigidity to maintain the inverted V-shape. At a cross section of the bendable portion crossing the longitudinal direction, a side wall of the container body, with respect to a bottom portion of the container body, is oblique toward an outer side of the container body.

The packaging container (storage containers) in which the acupuncture needles to be used are stored can be opened at one time, according to the number of acupuncture needles to be used. On one end portion side of a packaging container (blister package) including a container body and a sheet member detachably attached to a planar surface of the container body, a free portion in which the sheet member is not attached to an outer frame portion of the container body, is disposed. Further, perforated lines (cut portions and uncut portions) are disposed along center lines of boundary portions from one end portion of the packaging container to the other end portion thereof. Here, the length of the uncut portion on the free portion is made longer than the length of each uncut portion on a portion other than the free portion.

Abstract: There is provided an acupuncture needle for use in acupuncture treatment. The acupuncture needle having a metal needle handle is secured within an insertion tube made of a resin. A resin in an area where a surface of a needle handle 2 of an acupuncture needle 1 and an inner surface of an insertion tube 3 are in contact with each other is melted by high-frequency-induction heating or microwave heating, whereby the two are secured to each other. At this time, there is no need to use another member and thus the two can be secured to each other without increasing the number of components. In addition, by holding the insertion tube 3 and tapping an end portion of the needle handle 2, the acupuncture needle 1 can be released from the insertion tube 3 with one hand.
