Abstract: A process for vulcanizing tires in an automatically actuatable curing press, which has a vulcanization mold of two or more parts that can be opened and closed and has bead rings for positioning and shaping the tire beads, wherein the bead rings can be moved via actuation mechanisms in the axial direction with regard to the tire position in the curing press. A loading device takes the tire to be vulcanized and positions the tire on the lower bead ring. The press/mold/tire system is sealed inside the bead rings by the curing mold and/or the press and is sealed outside the bead rings by the tire. The automatically actuatable curing press, which is for vehicle tires, has a vulcanization mold of two or more parts that can be opened and closed, and has mold segments, side shells, and bead rings for positioning and shaping the tire beads of the tire. A loading device is provided for taking the tire to be vulcanized and positioning it on the lower bead ring.
Abstract: The lamella fine cut-outs provided in profile elements of the tread surface of a tire, have three-dimensionally structured wall regions. Such wall regions restrict relative movements of the mutually facing wall regions in lateral as well as in radial direction. In such manner there are improved the travel characteristics as well as the wear characteristics like break-outs and irregular wear of such lamella tires.

Abstract: A vulcanizable rubber mixture contains imbedded therein copper alloy based reinforcing elements and forms a durable bond to such copper alloy based reinforcing elements during vulcanization. Therefore, the vulcanizable rubber mixture has added thereto a bonding additive containing at least one monosaccharide which is selected from the group of ketoses. This bonding additive is unobjectionable particularly in toxicological terms and can be admixed and processed without problems. The thus formed vulcanized materials possesses very good characteristics with respect to moisture resistance and oxidative aging.
Abstract: The free end regions of the carcass of the tire form bead regions by extending these free end regions around a bead core. Each bead region of the tire carcass is seated on a related seat or seat surface formed at the tire rim. A first end region of a bead ring anchors the associated bead region on the associated seat and a second end region of this bead ring is locked in a locking groove formed at the related edge region of the tire rim. The bead ring is preferably made of spring steel and may be provided with cuts or cutouts in its second end region to facilitate the mounting thereof at the tire rim. The first end region of the bead ring may be vulcanized into or otherwise connected with the tire carcass. The seat may be formed at the inner circumferential surface or at the outer circumferential surface of the tire rim.
Abstract: The pneumatic vehicle tire comprises a radial ply carcass, two side walls, a tread member and a belt or breaker comprising at least one cord layer. The tread member is composed of a base layer positioned closer to the tire axis and a cap layer arranged on top thereof. For particularly favorably affecting the rolling behavior of the tire the base layer forms a trough in which the cap layer is accommodated.
