Abstract: The invention concerns a communication device for placement at the ear of a user. A battery and transmission part is shaped to rest behind and above the ear lobe of a user and a speaker and microphone part is arranged to extend downwards in front of the ear canal. The two parts are interlinked to pivot, at least in the sagittal plane, with respect to each other and the battery and transmission part accommodates a battery as well as signal processing and transmission electronics, and the speaker and microphone part accommodates a speaker element and a microphone boom arm and further, the two parts have mating surfaces such that a pivotal motion between the two, when the device is not at the ear, will bring a surface of the first part and a surface of the second part together. Further the link between the two parts comprises a hollow ball joint connection allowing leads to pass through the ball joint.

Abstract: A base station, wireless headset and headband, the headset being powered by a rechargeable battery, the base station having a cradle with charging output points, and the headset having a cradle-neck with charging input contact points. The headset may be cradled in a charging position to ensure electrical connection between the base station and the rechargeable battery through the electrical contact points. The wireless headset includes attachment sites for releasable attachment thereto of the headband to form a headband-headset assembly.
Abstract: The application relates to a compressor circuit for a listening device, the compressor circuit comprising a pair of input terminals and a pair of output terminals, the compressor circuit being adapted for receiving an electric input signal representing an audio signal with an input voltage swing Vipp at the input terminals and for providing a possibly compressed version of the input signal as an output signal with an output voltage swing Vopp at the output terminals, the compressor circuit comprising. The application further relates to a listening device and to the use of the compressor circuit. The object of the present application is to provide a compressor circuit with a proper functioning also at relatively low input levels.
Abstract: A headset with side support is provided, where a speaker module is coupled to a side support by means of an elongate resilient spring such that the speaker module and the side support are placeable at each their side of a users head and where the spring provides a holding force which presses the speaker module and the side support in a direction towards each other wherein the spring comprises a metal core and this core comprises a re-enforcement at the side support which extends transversely to the length direction of the elongate spring.

Abstract: The invention relates to a communication device comprising a wireless interface for enabling wireless transmission and/or reception at a predefined wavelength ?c to be established. The object of the present invention is to provide an antenna suitable for wireless communication in a portable communication device. The problem is solved in that the communication device comprises a housing having an electrically conductive part, the wireless interface comprising an antenna comprising a first quarter wavelength patch and a ground plane comprising an electrically conductive material, the first quarter wavelength patch being at least partially constituted by said electrically conductive part of the housing. This has the advantage of providing an alternative wireless interface for a communication device. The invention may e.g. be used in portable communication devices with a wireless interface for communication with another device, in particular in a headset or a headphone or an active earplug.
Abstract: The headset according to the invention has an elongate cabinet adapted for placement behind the ear lobe, a speaker enclosure hinged to the cabinet part and extending downwards from the upper portion of the cabinet part and a microphone boom extending from the lover tip of the cabinet part. The microphone boom is fastened to the cabinet part in rotatable fashion, and the speaker enclosure has sound exit openings pointing in a direction toward the ear and away from the ear. According to the invention the speaker enclosure has a circumferentially extending band which is detachable from the speaker enclosure.
