  • Publication number: 20090226006
Abstract: A microphone device is provided which comprises a main microphone (MM), at least one control microphone (CM) and a digital signal processing unit (DSP) coupled to the main microphone (MM) and the at least one control microphone (CM). The digital signal processing unit (DSP) receives the output of the main microphone (MM) and the output of the at least one control microphone (CM). Based on the output signals, the digital signal processing unit (DSP) is adapted to perform a noise suppression of pop noise in the output signal of the main microphone (MM).

  • Patent number: 7574011
Abstract: The invention is based on the idea of providing a detection device which is capable of distinguishing whether a microphone or audio signal processing arrangement connected thereto operates on an analog or digital basis. An analog or digital connection is selected in accordance with that determination procedure. Consequently there is provided a detection device which has a sensing device, a determining device and a selecting device. The sensing device senses an external signal fed to the detection device and forwards that signal to the determining device. The determining device determines whether the sensed external signal was transmitted by an analog or digital signal processing apparatus and transmits a corresponding determination signal to the selecting device. The selecting device then selects either an analog or a digital connection, in dependence on the determination signal.

  • Patent number: 7505151
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for optically determining the distance of a reflecting surface that can be used, in particular, for determining slight variations in distance such as can frequently occur in vibrating systems. Such an arrangement can also be used as optical microphone or hydrophone. The arrangement according to the invention is designed in this case such that light from a light source is directed onto a reflecting surface via a first optical fiber, and light reflected therefrom is directed onto at least one statically arranged optical detector via the first optical fiber or at least one further optical fiber. An optical element collimating in the direction of the reflecting surface is arranged between the reflecting surface and the one or more optical fibers.
