Patent number: 9506226Abstract: A water collection structure comprises within it first and second sub-chambers and at least one water collection chamber. The first sub-chamber is at least partially bounded by a wall and has extending from it a water input guide configured and arranged to direct water toward a portion of the wall of the first sub-chamber. The second sub-chamber is open to the first sub-chamber and configured to accept a filter. The second sub-chamber is open to a conduit configured for the carriage of water from the second sub-chamber to an output port of the water collection tank. In use a filter disposed in the second sub-chamber preferentially filters water from the first sub-chamber such filtered water being deflected by the wall of the second sub-chamber to fall into the water collection chamber while the debris laden waste water falls out the lower part of the filter into the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2012Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Assignee: Senox CorporationInventor: Arnold Bruce Walters

Patent number: 7895869Abstract: In a water diversion system, in a preferred embodiment, a first fold of a deflector is disposed into a first hanger cavity and a second deflector fold is disposed into a second hanger cavity. The first fold of the deflector cooperates with the first cavity of the hanger to allow a resistance hinge-like action of the deflector. The deflector may be lifted open by compression of a curve of the deflector to remove the second fold of the deflector from the second hanger cavity. Methods are provided in which, in a preferred embodiment, a deflector-forming machine is disposed above a trough-forming machine and the deflector-forming machine is moveable forward and backward relative to the trough-forming machine.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2007Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Senox CorporationInventor: Arnold Bruce Walters

Patent number: 6880294Abstract: Methods are provided for installation of a rain diversion system including formation of a deflector with a machine placed above a forming machine dedicated to formation of a trough. As trough is run from a first machine, end caps are installed where appropriate, outlet sites are punched and outlets installed for joinder with downspouts, miters are cut and a cavity structure of the hanger is brought into place to mate a containment lip of the hanger with the containment shelf of the trough. Corresponding deflector is run from a second machine and the deflector is placed on the trough as deflector attachment cavities of the hanger are used to retain deflector. In alternative methods, one cavity retains the deflector 40 for conveyance to the installation location on the structure. In either case, the entire assembly may then be transported to a location on a lower level such as ground, for example, corresponding to the eventual installation location on the structure.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2002Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Senox CorporationInventor: A. Patent number: 6470628Abstract: A shelf extends inwardly to the gutter trough from the front containment wall of a gutter trough to cooperate with a lip of a cavity structure of a hanger to provide structural stability and optional deflector attachment facility in a rain collection and diversion system. The hanger cavity structure has a containment lip a portion of which extends over a portion of the inwardly extending shelf of the front containment wall to allow functional water bearing capacity of the trough and a lengthened back trough wall to accommodate hanger placement and deflector inclination. The hanger can include deflector-mating cavities that open toward each other to allow compression attachment of the deflector. In a preferred embodiment, the deflector may be attached to a formed trough in which hangers are positioned to allow movement of the trough-deflector combination as a unit from the machine-site to the installation location on the structure. Associated installation methods are provided.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2001Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Senox CorporationInventor: Arnold Bruce Walters
