Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the preparation of cosmetic compositions having the texture of a cream. Said preparation is made at the time when the composition is used and includes bringing into contact with each other (A) a liquid phase, (B) a powder containing a gelling agent for the liquid phase (A), and (C) an active cosmetic ingredient, whereby the elements are brought into contact by adding phase (A) to phase (B), subjecting a solid powder containing phase (B) and phase (A) in an immobilized form to mechanical stress to release phase (A).
