Abstract: Embodiments described relate to a medical device including an invasive probe that, when inserted into a duct (e.g. vasculature) of an animal (e.g., a human or non-human animal, including a human or non-human mammal), may be used to aid in diagnosing and/or treating a lesion of the duct (e.g. a growth or deposit within vasculature that fully or partially blocks the vasculature). The invasive probe may have one or more sensors to sense characteristics of the lesion, including by detecting one or more characteristics of tissues and/or biological materials of the lesion.
Abstract: Connection transmitter for connecting a guidewire to a connector assembly (14), comprising: —a casing (16) surrounding at least partially the connector assembly, —a longitudinal connecting element (18) extending inside the casing along a longitudinal axis (X). The connecting element is translatable along a transversal axis, and receives the guidewire. The connector assembly comprises at least one connection blade extending along the transversal axis, and the connecting element comprises at least one transversal cavity (26) for receiving the guidewire, and cooperates with the connection blade. The connection transmitter presents: —a non-connecting configuration, in which the transversal cavity (26) and the connection blade are transversely disengaged, —a connecting configuration, in which the transversal cavity (26) and the connection blade are transversely cooperating by engagement. The connecting configuration enables to connect the guidewire with the at least connection blade.
