  • Patent number: 10571305
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining the position that a magnet has at a time of measurement relative to a row of sensors, wherein a first sensor signal is generated by the first sensor, the value of which depends on the position of the magnet relative to the first sensor, and a second sensor signal is generated by the second sensor, the value of which, depends on the position of the magnet relative to the second sensor. First, the value that the first sensor signal has generated is compared with a first reference value. Second, the value that the second sensor signal has generated is compared with a second reference value. A relative value is formed from the value that the first sensor signal and the value that the second sensor signal. Third, this relative value is compared with a third reference value. From these three steps, the leading signal is chosen to determine the position of the magnet relative to the row of sensors.

  • Patent number: 10566467
Abstract: The wafer-level manufacturing method makes possible to manufacture ultrathin optical devices such as opto-electronic modules. A clear encapsulation is applied to an initial wafer including active optical components and a wafer-size substrate, thereon, a photostructurable opaque coating is produced which includes apertures. Then, trenches are produced which extend through the clear encapsulation and establish side walls of intermediate products. Then, an opaque encapsulation is applied to the intermediate products, thus filling the trenches. Cutting through the opaque encapsulation material present in the trenches, singulated optical modules are produced, wherein side walls of the intermediate products are covered by the opaque encapsulation material.

  • Publication number: 20200053856
Abstract: An approach for controlling ultraviolet intensity over a surface of a light sensitive object is described. Aspects involve using ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength range that includes ultraviolet-A and ultraviolet-B radiation to irradiate the surface. Light sensors measure light intensity at the surface, wherein each sensor measures light intensity in a wavelength range that corresponds to a wavelength range emitted from at least one of the sources. A controller controls the light intensity over the surface by adjusting the power of the sources as a function of the light intensity measurements. The controller uses the light intensity measurements to determine whether each source is illuminating the surface with an intensity that is within an acceptable variation with a predetermined intensity value targeted for the surface. The controller adjusts the power of the sources as a function of the variation to ensure an optimal distribution of light intensity over the surface.
