  • Publication number: 20220083785
Abstract: A system may be configured to perform enhanced detection of occluded objects in a multiple object detection system. In some aspects, the system may detect a plurality of current objects in a current video frame, generate initial object identifier mapping information assigning a candidate object identifier to a first object of the plurality of current objects, and detect a multi-object tracking (MOT) inaccuracy condition. Further, the system may generate a current fingerprint corresponding to the first object of the plurality of current objects, identify an assignment error based on comparing the current fingerprint to historic fingerprints associated with a plurality of historic objects detected in a previous frame, generate updated object identifier mapping information based on the assignment error, and displaying the current video frame based on the updated object identifier mapping information.

  • Patent number: 11256972
Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating tags with items. The methods comprise: dynamically determining a length of each metal thread to be incorporated into or trace to be disposed on a item to optimize tag performance in view of dielectric and tuning properties of the item. In the metal thread scenarios, the methods also involve: creating a metal thread having the length that was dynamically determined; and sewing the metal thread into the item being produced to form an antenna for a first tag. In the trace scenarios, the methods also involve forming the trace on the item being produced to form an antenna for a first tag. Next, at least a communications enabled device is attached to the item so as to form an electrical coupling or connection between the communications enabled device and the at least one antenna.

  • Patent number: 11250644
Abstract: A system and method for analysing queues in frames of video enables operators to preferably draw three regions of interest overlaid upon the video as short, medium, and long queue regions that form a notional queue area within the video. The regions are drawn with knowledge of, or in anticipation of, foreground objects such as individuals and vehicles waiting for service in a queue. Examples include retail point of sale locations or for automated teller machine (ATM) transactions. In conjunction with a video analytics system that analyses the movement of the foreground objects relative to the queue regions, the system determines the number of objects occupying each queue region, length of the queue, and other queue-related statistics. The system can then create reports and send messages that include the queue analysis results for directing operators to change their staffing resources as part of a real-time queue servicing and optimization response.

  • Patent number: 11216847
Abstract: A retail customer tracking system and method is disclosed. The retail system preferably includes at least one surveillance camera for generating image data of customer interactions with products and at least one point of sale camera for generating image data of customers at a point of sale area. An analytics system determines product interactions from the image data of the customer interactions with the products and stores facial image information and the product interactions for each of the customers. When a customer arrives at a point of sale area, facial image information of the customer determined from the image data of the point of sale camera is matched to previously stored facial information for the customer, and associated product interactions for the customer are provided to a management system. The management system then provides sale cues based on the product interactions to the customer at the point of sale area.

  • Patent number: 11190907
Abstract: An access control system includes a mobile application executing on a mobile computing device rendering a graphical user interface (GUI), which presents available access points, which are prioritized based on predictions of the next access points to be engaged. These predictions are based on prioritized lists of access points associated with times of day, days of the week and/or locations. The prioritized lists are modified based on recently selected access points, authorization status, prescribed schedules and/or prescribed sequences of access points. A selection pane of the GUI includes graphical elements associated with the access points. Graphical elements associated with the access points predicted to be next engaged by the user are displayed near the top of the selection pane. An inferred location of the user, based on the predictions, is sent to a monitoring center in response to selecting a help request option.
