    Abstract: A skylight system and method of making the same for use on metal roofs, such as those of the standing seam variety, in which the edges of the light-admitting opening are folded back away from this opening to form a lip surrounding the opening. The system further includes a bubble-shaped cover which completely covers the opening and lip and a retaining ring which is bonded to the cover and the roof to form a watertight seal around the opening.
