    Abstract: An agglutination immunoassay in which non-specific interferences are reduced by adding to the reaction mixture a halogen substituted carboxylic acid such as chloroacetic acid, dichloroacetic acid, trichloroacetic acid, bromoacetic acid, dibromoacetic acid, tribromoacetic acid, iodoacetic acid and mixtures thereof.
