  • Patent number: 9808899
Abstract: A method for mutually positioning tubes. End faces, which includes a generally annular and generally circular end surface near an inner surface of the tube and a beveled edge surface connecting the end surface to an outer surface of the tube, are provided on first and second tubes, respectively. Plural clamping cylinders are engaged with the first and second tubes, respectively. Each cylinder is radially arranged onto and evenly distributed around respective tubes. The first and second tubes are pre-positioned relative to each other such that their respective end faces are opposite each other. At least one radial offset is assessed between the respective end surfaces of the first and second tubes. The clamping cylinders of the first and/or second tube are moved relative to each other in accordance with the assessed radial offset based on an optimization of areas in which their respective end surfaces coincide.

  • Patent number: 8777201
Abstract: Clamp for mechanical parts such as tubes or pipes, comprising a flange (5) with parts (13A, 13B, 13C) connected to one another so as to be pivotable as far as a closed position in which they are continuous. A locking device may be actuated when the flange is closed. The clamp further comprises supports (55; 57) by which rails (49) are connected to the parts with limited freedom of relative movement. The adjacent end faces of the rails have mating surfaces forming a connection by positive locking, which is active in the vicinity of the closed position. Each connection guides the end faces relative to one another into a working position in which the rails (49) form a guide path for tools, and helps to maintain this position when the clamping device is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20140130324
Abstract: To abut hollow profiled parts, at least two frames includes actuators distributed in an equivalent manner to one another. Each actuator includes a portion which can be displaced in a plane common to the other actuators of the frame so as to project from the frame; the frames are each positioned in an end region of a respective part. The equivalent actuators are mutually opposed; the mobile portions of the actuators of one frame and of the actuators of the other frame are displaced into respective working positions, in which they exert forces on the wall of their respective part so that the end regions of these parts match one another; the parts are fixed to one another in their respective end regions.
