  • Patent number: 7731063
Abstract: A dispenser for use in dispensing a selected volume of a granulated, dry product. The dispenser includes a main body having an open interior that receives the supply of granulated products to be dispensed. A loading and dispensing member is positioned to receive the granulated product within a receiving cavity formed as part of the loading and dispensing member. A portion control member is selectively positioned within the receiving cavity. The position of the portion control member can be adjusted to vary the portion volume received within the receiving cavity between the portion control member and an open end of the receiving cavity. Once the portion volume has been received within the receiving cavity, the loading and dispensing member is moved to the dispensing position to dispense the portion volume. In this manner, a known, selected portion volume can be dispensed from the dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20090159613
Abstract: A dispensing assembly for dispensing a liquid food product includes a flexible container received within a dispenser. An actuating structure within the dispenser exerts a force on the flexible container to dispense the food product through a nozzle mounted to the dispenser. A dispensing spout of the flexible container forms a seal with an inner wall of the nozzle to prevent the back flow of liquid food product during dispensing of the food product.

Abstract: A hand operated piston displacement-type pump having a one-piece valve body retaining a removable cylinder and discharge tube, for dispensing prescribed portions of complex fluids, such as food products or liquids with suspended solids, at a desired point outside of a storage container. Valve ball control of the flow of the product is obtained with the combination of the precision channels in the valve body and in the bottom of the cylinder and discharge tube. The valve body includes structure necessary for seal and connection to allow the cylinder and discharge tube to be removed, without tools, for cleaning.
