Abstract: An assembly for dispensing liquid food product from a food warmer and dispenser that includes a disposable pump. The disposable pump includes a portioning chamber having a hollow open interior that can receive a supply of food product. The disposable pump includes a one-way inlet valve and a one-way outlet valve to control the flow of food product through the disposable pump. The assembly further includes a compressing device positioned to compress the outer wall of the disposable pump to force food product out of a dispensing portion of the pump. The compressing device includes a pair of actuating arms movable about a pivot point positioned between their inner and outer ends. The inner end of each actuating arm is coupled to a drive member that moves the inner ends of each actuating arm toward and away from each other. As the actuating arms move, the outer ends of the actuating arms compress the disposable pump to dispense food product.
Abstract: A packaged food warmer and dispenser that includes an open interior sized to receive a pair of collapsible containers including food product. A paddle assembly including a movable paddle member is positioned within the open interior to divide the open interior into a storage area and a dispensing area. A collapsible container of food product is received in both the dispensing area and storage area. The collapsible bag of food product in the dispensing area is connected to a pump assembly and dispensed from the food product warmer and dispenser. The collapsible container of food product in the storage area exerts a bias force on the pivotable pressure paddle to urge the food product from the collapsible container in the dispensing section. The pressure paddle includes a heating element positioned between a front face surface and a back face surface to heat each of the collapsible containers.
Abstract: A hand operated piston displacement-type pump having a one-piece valve body retaining a removable cylinder and discharge tube, for dispensing prescribed portions of complex fluids, such as food products or liquids with suspended solids, at a desired point outside of a storage container. Valve ball control of the flow of the product is obtained with the combination of the precision channels in the valve body and in the bottom of the cylinder and discharge tube. The valve body includes structure necessary for seal and connection to allow the cylinder and discharge tube to be removed, without tools, for cleaning.
