Abstract: Health of perishable commodities such as eatables deteriorate over time. State of art systems for health monitoring of perishable commodities rely on measurement of limited parameters and also fail to consider effect of environment on the health of the perishable commodities. Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for multimodal sensing and monitoring of perishable commodities. The apparatus allows to change environment within a closed chamber in which the perishable commodity being monitored is kept, and in turn allows to generate health data in different environment settings. This data is used to generate a health model. Data collected in real-time are processed with the health model to establish a correlation with at least one image, wherein each of such images in the health model represents certain health state. Based on the established correlation, health of the perishable commodity is determined.

Abstract: A robot for cleaning solar panels has a frame and a propulsion system for moving the robot on solar panels. The robot also has arms movably coupled to the frame, and a cleaning assembly coupled to each of the arms for cleaning the solar panels. The arms and cleaning assemblies further facilitate the transportation of the robot between solar panels that are discontinuous and spaced apart from each other. In addition, a water distribution system is included for distributing water during cleaning operations. A control system operates the robot and controls the propulsion system, arms, cleaning assemblies and water distribution system.

Abstract: A method and device for power adjustment in a user equipment and a base station are disclosed in the present disclosure. The user equipment receives first information which is used to trigger a first operation, the first operation including an accumulation reset corresponding to a first power value; and then receives K piece(s) of target information and transmits a first wireless signal. A transmission power value of the first wireless signal is a first power value; the first power value is irrelevant to all piece(s) of target information received prior to triggering the first operation. The K piece(s) of target information is(are) received after triggering the first operation. The sum of K power offset value(s) is used to determine the first power value. The K power offset value(s) are respectively indicated by the K piece(s) of target information.

Abstract: A capsule for an aerosol-generating device may include a housing, a filter, and an aerosol-forming substrate. The housing may have a gas-permeable end and an impermeable end. The filter may be disposed within the housing so as to be adjacent to the impermeable end. The aerosol-forming substrate may be disposed within the housing so as to be between the filter and the gas-permeable end. The housing may be configured to facilitate a heating of the aerosol-forming substrate via one of conduction, convection, or both conduction and convection so as to generate an aerosol.

Abstract: A sensor assembly includes a housing including a cavity allowing a liquid to flow thereinto, a liquid level sensing module installed on the housing and configured to sense information related to a liquid level when the liquid is flowing into the cavity, and a turbidity sensing module installed on the housing. The turbidity sensing module includes a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit. The light emitting unit and the light receiving unit are located oppositely on an outer surface of the housing to allow a light emitted from the light emitting unit to pass through the cavity of the housing and be received by the light receiving unit.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a processor health monitoring system. An embodiment operates by determining that a plurality of messages are transmitted to both a primary processor and a recovery processor. A functional health of the primary processor is monitored based on one or more metrics, and a failure event is detected at the primary processor based on the one or more metrics. A timestamp of a first message of the plurality of messages is identified, the first message having been successfully processed by the primary processor prior to the failure event. The timestamp of the first message is provided to the recovery processor, wherein the recovery processor is configured to actively process the plurality of messages from the timestamp of the first message. The primary processor is deactivated.

Abstract: A fiber optic sensor unit for detecting a mechanical force acting on a rail includes at least a first sensor fiber, a first elongated fiber optic strain sensor and a second elongated fiber optic strain sensor. The first sensor fiber includes the first strain sensor and is characterized in that the at least one sensor fiber is attached to a sensor plate. The first fiber strain sensor and the second strain sensor are arranged in an x-type or v-type geometry, wherein the first strain sensor and the second strain sensor are arranged in an angle of 60° to 120°, in particular of 90°, to each other. Measurements with increased amplification of the measurement signal and improved raw data can be made.

Abstract: A spring clip for a flat flexible cable includes a first beam and a second beam connected to the first beam and resiliently deflectable toward the first beam. The second beam has a first contact bend extending toward the first beam. The flat flexible cable is positioned between the first beam and the second beam and the first contact bend abuts a conductor exposed through an insulation material of the flat flexible cable to electrically connect the spring clip with the conductor.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for quantifying meeting effectiveness for a group of participants and reducing redundancies in future meetings. The system receives electronic transcripts for meetings and executes natural language processing on the respective transcripts. The system identifies keywords in the resulting, parsed transcripts, tags the transcript with metadata about the keywords, and generates meeting profiles for the respective meetings. The system then compares the generated meeting profiles, identifies points of redundancy between the meetings from that comparison, and modifies a future meeting based on the identified redundancies.

Abstract: An electromagnetic telemetry (EMT) system is provided. A downhole transceiver sub is coupled with a downhole tool. The downhole transceiver sub and the downhole tool positioned in a wellbore having a casing extending along a length of the wellbore. The downhole transceiver sub transmits data from the downhole tool by passing a current through the casing to radiate electromagnetic fields. An uphole transceiver sub is disposed uphole from the downhole transceiver sub. The uphole transceiver sub is operable to measure the electromagnetic fields. The measured electromagnetic fields are decoded to obtain the data from the downhole tool.

Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus directed to an innovative approach for the treatment of stormwater utilizing hydrodynamic separator assembly designed to maximize flow movement for more efficient sediment removal and maximize clearance space within assembly to facilitate cleaning and increase storage capacity of trash, debris, and sediment. In particular, the described hydrodynamic separator is an improvement over other hydrodynamic separators known in the art with the inclusion of one or more down pipes which siphon water from the lower portion of the sump chamber. The inclusion of down pipes allows for an improved control of the velocity of the water flow through the device by distributing flow into more than one path.

Abstract: A clutch tool includes a housing that is non-rotatable with respect to the first section of the work string and comprising inner grooves. The clutch tool also includes an inner mandrel that is non-rotatable with respect to the second section of the work string. The inner mandrel includes outer grooves that extend along only an axial portion of the inner mandrel. Further, the inner mandrel includes a torque transition area opening from the outer grooves and extending completely around the inner mandrel. The clutch tool also includes a torque sleeve comprising inner protrusions engageable with the outer grooves and outer protrusions engageable with the outer grooves, the outer protrusions being angled. Moreover, the clutch tool includes a biasing device to bias the inner protrusions of the torque sleeve into engagement with the outer grooves.

Abstract: A single dual-sided product placement and information strip includes a first side with product information for consumers and a second side with product placement information for placing products on a display shelf. The dual-sided product placement and information strip enables information necessary for consumers to be printed on the first (consumer-facing) side and information that assists stockers to place products on shelves to be printed on the second (opposing) side. Also disclosed are systems and methods for formatting and printing the dual-sided product placement and information strips. The single dual-sided product placement and information strip may be printed alone or in a single sheet along with one or more other dual-sided product placement and information strips.

Abstract: A connector housing assembly comprises a housing defining an accommodation space having a left side wall and a right side wall opposite to each other in a transverse direction of the housing. A partition member is inserted into the accommodation space for dividing the accommodation space into an upper insertion chamber and a lower insertion chamber. The system may further include one or more valves disposed in each of the one or more fluid flow lines and one or more pressure sensors disposed in each of the one or more fluid flow lines. A method for controlling a fluid flow system may comprise moving a drilling fluid from a borehole into an input line of the fluid flow system, directing the drilling fluid through the input line into a fluid flow line, measuring a first pressure at a first pressure sensor in the fluid flow line, and measuring a second pressure at a second pressure sensor in the fluid flow line.

Product offering systems may include sending an offer to a customer that possesses a mobile computing device and has agreed to receive offers for products via the mobile computing device. Agreeing to receive offers would result in the unique data about the customer being available to offer provider. Unique customer data may include data related to the customers wireless service provider or from a financial account in a financial institution, and collecting customer data about the customer, wherein the customer data comprises financial data and personal data. Product offering systems may further include registering a wireless computing device of the customer to able the device to receive the offer, and determining opportunities to send the offer to the customer by monitoring the customer and the customer data. Product offering systems may also include sending the offer to the customer's registered device based on the determination of opportunities.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to a sensor for a downhole tool. The downhole tool can include a collar and a sensor. The sensor can be secured to the collar for measuring one or more operational characteristics of the downhole tool during operation of the downhole tool. The sensor can include a substrate. The sensor can also include a plurality of strain gauges disposed on the substrate. The plurality of strain gauges can be configured to measure axial strains and torsional strains on the collar for measuring the one or more operational characteristics of the downhole tool.

Abstract: A transaction card construction and a method for making transaction cards provides increased security for transaction card magnetic strips. The transaction card construct on includes a card inlay and a clear card body. The card inlay is formed via a lamination press process with the magnetic strip attached to a back surface of the card inlay. The card body may have a window through which a data storage element may be exposed for accessing, such as by a magnetic stripe reader or EMV chip reader. The card body may be formed by adhering the card inlay to the clear card body.

Abstract: A connector for a flat flexible cable or flat printed cable includes a housing portion and a plurality of terminals. The housing portion includes a plurality of terminal receiving passageways each receiving a contact portion of one of the plurality of terminals.
