Patent number: 10872345Abstract: Transaction cards, systems and methods for performing fraud detection at POS devices based on analysis of feature sets are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary transaction card may comprise one or more sensors configured to collect pre-card-use sensor data regarding a user of the card, circuitry that assembles such data into feature sets and performs fraud detection, and data storage. According to some aspects, the fraud detection may comprise: comparing user specific sensor data, collected for a current transaction, to a user-specific risk profile validation model, generated from prior transactions, to determine a risk score for the current transaction; and transmitting the risk score to a card transacting device when a card is presented during purchase. Further, the risk score may enable the card transacting device to evaluate a risk associated with accepting the transaction card to complete the attempted transaction.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2020Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Austin Walters, Jeremy Goodsitt, Galen Rafferty

Patent number: 10870255Abstract: An adhesive assembly can be used to join textile materials together creating a durable wash resistant. An emblem can be removed from a work shirt without leaving glue stains or residue. The shirt may be reused if emblems need to be removed or changed before the life of the garment expires. In various embodiments, a layer of mesh is incorporated into the heat activated glue on the back of the emblem. This mesh does not affect adherence to the garment. The emblem sticks just as well as without the mesh layer and with zero process changes to how the emblem is applied. The mesh allows for the complete removal of the adhesive from the garment when the patch is removed allowing the garment to be used even after the patch is removed.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2017Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Cintas Corporate Services, Inc.Inventors: Manuel Figueroa, Susan Lillard, Christopher R. Patent number: 10872335Abstract: In certain embodiments, an online transaction is verified based on merchant-independent user geolocation. A geolocation of a user associated with the online transaction is obtained from a mobile device of the user by a transaction verifying entity separate and independent from a merchant entity with which the online transaction is initiated. A server associated with the transaction verifying entity determines a proximity of the geolocation of the user to a delivery address for verifying the online transaction. The server generates a verification message including an approval message based on the proximity of the geolocation to the delivery address being within a specified threshold. The server generates a verification message including a rejection message based on the proximity of the geolocation to a delivery address exceeding the specified threshold. The server sends the verification message to another server associated with the merchant entity to carry out the online transaction accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2019Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Joshua Edwards, Michael Mossoba, Abdelkader Benkreira

Patent number: 10871343Abstract: A toy projectile launcher for launching projectiles, e.g, toy foam darts, from a hopper. One or more agitating members inside the hopper to enable the projectiles to drop into a firing chamber under the hopper. A hopper cover has a collapsible ceiling with nested members and a ceiling plate to maintain the projectiles toward the bottom of the hopper. A catch coupled to the ceiling plate engages an opening in a hopper wall to prevent the ceiling from collapsing when the hopper cover is closed. Where there are multiple vertically spaced-apart openings in the hopper wall, the catch may disengage from a first opening, and then engage a lower, second opening in the hopper wall, as the number of projectiles in the hopper drops and the ceiling plate descends in the hopper. A rotating track and a push rod advance projectiles from the firing chamber to flywheels for launch.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2020Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Easebon Services LimitedInventors: Francis See Chong Chia, Steven J. Patent number: 10872144Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can receive a notification of a user request to securely process a first set of data. A time estimate is calculated, wherein the time estimate is indicative of an expected amount of time for a secure data processing application to process the first set of data. An actual utilization time required for a first instance of the secure data processing application to process the first set of data is measured. A determination is made as to whether the secure data processing application may be compromised based on a comparison of the time estimate and the actual utilization time. In various embodiments, a re-cryptor process is used to change the cryptographic keys accessed by the secure data processing application. In various embodiments, a re-credentialer is used to change the database access credentials the secure data processing application used to access the encrypted data.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2017Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Ent. Publication number: 20200395980Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2019Publication date: December 17, 2020Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Jeffrey RULE, Rajko ILINCIC

Publication number: 20200394425Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to method and system for detecting on-street parking violations. The method include capturing, by using an media capturing device embodied in an electronic device mounted in a vehicle, a video stream of a scene during a trip of the vehicle. The video stream is processed at the electronic device to identify target objects such as no-parking signage and vehicles parked in the vicinity thereof. A meta-information associated with the target objects is stored in form of a short-term historian in a repository associated with the electronic device. The absolute locations of the target objects are determined and the historian is updated with the values of the absolute locations. Publication number: 20200392457Abstract: Disclosed herein are method of producing NK cells that include one or more heterologous nucleic acids. The methods include culturing a population of isolated NK cells in the presence of one or more cytokines to produce a population of activated NK cells. The population of activated NK cells are transduced with a viral vector comprising the one or more heterologous nucleic acids, for example by contacting the activated NK cells with viral particles including the viral vector. The resulting transduced NK cells are then cultured in the presence of one or more cytokines, and optionally in the presence of irradiated feeder cells, to produce a population of expanded transduced NK cells. Also disclosed are methods of treating a subject with a disorder (such as a tumor or hyperproliferative disorder) by administering to the subject NK cells produced by the methods described herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2018Publication date: December 17, 2020Applicant: The United States of America, as represented by the Secretary, Dept. of Health and Human ServicesInventors: Richard W. Publication number: 20200394365Abstract: Narrative texts contain rich knowledge about actors and interactions among them. It is often useful to extract and visualize these interactions through a set of inter-related timelines in which an actor has participated. Current approaches utilize labeled datasets and implement supervised techniques and thus are not suitable. Embodiments of the present disclosure implement systems and methods for automated extraction of Message Sequence Chart (MSC) from textual description by identifying verbs which indicate interactions and then use dependency parsing and Semantic Role Labelling based approaches to identify senders (initiating actors) and receivers (other actors involved) for these interaction verbs. The present disclosure further employs an optimization-based approach to temporally re-order these interactions.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 10, 2020Publication date: December 17, 2020Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Sangameshwar Suryakant Patil, Swapnil Vishweshwar Hingmire, Nitin Vijaykumar Ramrakhiyani, Sachin Sharad Pawar, Harsimran Bedi, Girish Keshav Palshikar, Pushpak Bhattacharyya, Vasudeva Varma Kalidindi
