  • Patent number: 10432589
Abstract: A communication server, interacting with an organization system having users that wish to communicate securely, provides secure communication capability to the users, without the communication server itself having access to unencrypted content of the user communications or to cryptographic keys that would allow the communication server to derive the unencrypted content. Thus, the communication server that provides the secure communication capability need not itself be trusted by the users with access to communicated content. To achieve this, the various entities communicate to exchange cryptographic keys in such a manner that the communication server never obtains usable copies of the cryptographic keys.

  • Patent number: 10429541
Abstract: Two or more Integrated Computational Element (“ICE”) structures are designed and utilized in an optical computing device to combinatorily reconstruct spectral patterns of a sample. To design the ICE structures, principal component analysis (“PCA”) loading vectors are derived from training spectra. Thereafter, two or more ICE structures having spectral patterns that match the PCA loading vectors are selected. The selected ICE structures may then be fabricated and integrated into an optical computing device. During operation, the ICE structures are used to reconstruct high resolution spectral data of the samples which is utilized to determine a variety of sample characteristics.

  • Patent number: 10429534
Abstract: A tool, method and system for ranging between two wellbores. The target wellbore includes a conductive member disposed within a portion of the target wellbore. An investigative wellbore includes an electromagnetic gradiometer positioned within the wellbore, as well as emitter electrode and return electrode spaced apart along an investigative wellbore, preferably in the process of being drilled. The position of the emitter electrode and the return electrode are selected to optimize current transmission to the target wellbore in order to enhance the electromagnetic field emanating from the conductive member at a desired point along the conductive member. Where the electrodes and gradiometer are carried by a drill string, gap subs are positioned along the drill string to minimize conduction of current along the drill string therebetween.
