Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods for tracking the location of a shipped item. According to various embodiments, the systems and methods may include features designed to determine whether the shipped item is likely to comply with customer-defined shipping requirements throughout the entire shipping process. In various embodiments, the systems and methods are configured to indicate to a user certain shipments that are likely to arrive without complying with all of the customer-defined shipping requirements, such that a user can take remedial action to minimize or eliminate the likelihood of the shipment failing to comply with the customer-defined shipping requirements.

Abstract: Devices, apparatus, and methods for catheter-based repair of cardiac valves, including transcatheter-mitral-valve-cerclage annuloplasty and transcatheter-mitral-valve reapposition. In particular, a target and capture device is provided for guiding a cerclage traversal catheter system through a cerclage trajectory, particularly through a reentry site of the cerclage trajectory. The target and capture device provides the user with a target through which the cerclage traversal catheter system must be guided, particularly under imaging guidance, so as to properly traverse the cerclage trajectory at any desired location, particularly at a reentry site. The target and capture device can, further, ensnare and externalize the cerclage traversal catheter system.

Abstract: A system may include a camera, a display, one or more memories, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories. The system may output a bounding shape for presentation on the display. The bounding shape may be superimposed on an image being captured by the camera and presented on the display. The bounding shape may bound an object in the image. The system may determine 3D coordinates of an intersection point associated with the bounding shape. The intersection point may be a point where a projection of the bounding shape into 3D space intersects with a horizontal plane identified in the image. The system may determine 2D coordinates for presentation of an augmented reality object on the display based on the 3D coordinates of the intersection point, and may superimpose a representation of the augmented reality object on the image based on the 2D coordinates.

Abstract: An agricultural machine for discharging liquid includes a boom, a frame to which the boom is fixed such that the boom can be rotated about an axis of rotation pointing in the direction of travel, an actuating cylinder for rotating the boom about the axis of rotation, and a measurement and control system for the actuation of the actuating cylinder, wherein the actuating cylinder is mechanically connected to the frame on one side. The actuating cylinder is mechanically connected to the boom on the other side for the direct introduction of force. The actuating cylinder is formed as a double-acting actuating cylinder having a piston, to which pressure can be applied on both sides in order to move the boom in opposite directions of rotation.

Abstract: A system and method according to which a downhole component positioned behind a casing is powered, the casing extending within an oil and gas wellbore that traverses a subterranean formation. Powering the downhole component may include inducing an electrical current to flow in the casing; permitting the electrical current to flow out of the casing to create a first potential difference between a first point and a second point spaced therefrom, the first and second points being located behind the casing; utilizing the first potential difference to store electrical power; and supplying the stored electrical power to the downhole component positioned behind the casing to thereby power the downhole component. The system may include a power source in electrical communication with the casing; a power harvester positioned behind the casing and in electrical communication with the downhole component; and a current return unit in electrical communication with the power source.

Abstract: The current invention includes manifold having multiple outputs and at least one input for lubricant to be pumped at high pressure from a skid or trailer to a particular frac valve when the valve requires lubrication. Generally, such frac valves require lubrication on an hourly schedule or less. Each output port on the manifold is fitted with an on/off valve that allows remote operation such as pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-pneumatic operation, or other known remote operation system. The pump or pumps are also configured for remote operation. A controller is then provided so that each circuit allows, upon command, lubricant to be pumped from the lubricant reservoir, through the pump, to the manifold, through each remotely operable valve, via each output port, through an appropriate rated hose, then to the lubrication or other port on each frac valve. Generally, once connected each frac valve remains connected to the system to allow the operator to cause lubricant to flow to each valve upon command.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for processing financial instruments in ATMs or other processing devices. A user can deposit financial instruments, such as cash or a check, into the ATM, to be processed to determine the monetary value of the financial instruments. Once counted and valued, the financial instruments can be dropped into an escrow chamber. The escrow chamber can have a door or gate such that the financial instruments are visible, but not accessible during the transaction. If the customer discovers an error during the transaction, the door or gate can transition to an open state allowing the customer to retrieve the financial instruments.

Abstract: Systems and methods for bearing housings are disclosed. A labyrinth seal bearing housing includes: a first seal element that is structured and arranged to be connected to a wall of a mixing vessel; a second seal element that is structured and arranged to be connected to a rotatable shaft; and a bearing support that is structured and arranged to be connected to the first seal element. The second seal element is configured to rotate relative to the first seal element and the bearing support. The first seal element and the second seal element are structured and arranged to create a tortuous flow path between an exterior and an interior of the mixing vessel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a non-invasive, inexpensive and unobtrusive system that enables heart rate (HR) monitoring by addressing the traditionally known issues with face video based systems due to respiration, facial expressions, out-of-plane movements, camera parameters and environmental factors. These issues are alleviated by filtering, pulse modelling and HR tracking. Quality measures are defined which incorporate out-of-plane movements to define the quality of each video frame unlike existing approaches which provide a single quality for the entire video. To handle out-of-plane movement, Fourier basis function is employed to reconstruct pulse signals at affected locations. Bayesian decision theory based method performs HR tracking using previous HR and quality estimates for improved HR monitoring.

Abstract: A bearing assembly for a downhole drilling motor can include a housing having an inner wall, an outer bearing race within the housing, and an inner bearing race. The outer bearing race can include a reduced-diameter portion forming a gap between the outer bearing race and the inner wall of the housing to allow for radial displacement of the outer bearing race relative to the housing. The design combines the functions of a bearing and a compliant feature into a single unit.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing power monitoring processes are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may include at least one storage device and logic coupled to the at least one storage device. The logic may be configured to poll a power device comprising a plurality of power elements via an alarm status identifier operative to cause the power device to return an alarm status string comprising a plurality of alarm status bits, each of the plurality of alarm status bits indicating an active alarm state of one of the plurality of power elements, and determine each of the plurality of power elements in the active alarm state based on the alarm status string. Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may use a contactless card as a secondary form of authentication in a multi-factor authentication for a secure messaging service. The recipient party of a request to initiate a messaging service session (such as a server computing device) may be programmed to use the phone number of the originating device to look up records regarding an identity of a party and their associated phone number as a primary credential and then may require an authentication credential originating from the contactless card as a secondary credential for the initiating party. In some instances, the credential originating from the contactless card is a onetime password that is valid only for a period of time. The recipient party determines whether the onetime password is valid. If both credentials are valid, a secure messaging session may be initiated with the initiating party.

Abstract: Systems and methods for disrupting unauthorized communication in low frequency radio communication devices are provided. Traditional systems and methods may fail to provide for disrupting unauthorized communications by generating low frequency signals in the same band as the low frequency bands of the low frequency radio communication devices. Embodiments of the present disclosure provides for overcoming the limitations faced by the traditional systems and methods by generating, via a square wave generator and a device coil of a low frequency radio communication device, low frequency signals; integrating the low frequency signals on a computing device by implementing a power controlling technique; and disrupting, via the integrated low frequency signals on the computing device, unauthorized communications in the low frequency radio communication device.

Abstract: Multi-factor authentication systems and methods are provided that include receiving a request to authenticate a user of a mobile device. The request for authentication may include credential information associated with the user and vehicle data. A determination may be made regarding whether the vehicle data was obtained from a vehicle via the mobile device. The received vehicle data and received credential information may be compared to stored data. When there is a match between the received vehicle data and received credential information and corresponding stored data, a notification may be provided to the user device, indicating that the user has been authenticated.

Abstract: Performance feedback related to media presented to a user is received at a processing system including an analytics module. The performance feedback includes metadata identifying the user. The analytics module determines, based on the metadata included in the performance feedback, whether the performance feedback is related to a valid user. In response to determining that the performance feedback is related to a valid user, the analytics module strips the metadata identifying the user from the performance feedback, and transmits the performance feedback from the processing system to a media proposal server.

Abstract: A method for well logging may comprise: inserting a downhole tool into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation wherein the downhole tool comprises: a transmitter; a receiver; a memory configured to store at least one look up table with polynomial coefficients; and a processor coupled to the memory; obtaining a measurement using the resistivity tool; and generating a resistivity output using the measurement as an input to a polynomial with polynomial coefficients sourced from the look up table.

Abstract: A caliper-arm-retention mechanism for a caliper tool is disclosed. The retention mechanism includes a selectively movable retention sleeve and a pivot arm that cooperate to constrain relative translational motion between the pivot arm and a caliper arm pivotally engaged with the pivot arm while at the same time allowing relative rotational movement of the caliper arm and pivot arm. The retention sleeve may be selectively repositioned using a threaded nut configured to push the sleeve toward the pivot arm or pull the sleeve away from the pivot arm, depending on the direction of rotation of the nut.

Abstract: Systems and methods for optimizing scheduling of non-preemptive tasks in a multi-robot environment are provided. Traditional systems and methods cite scheduling of preemptive task(s) allocation but such scheduling techniques generally do not provide for an efficient scheduling in the multi-robot environment since tasks are preemptive. Additionally, critical parameters like deadline and performance loss are not considered.
