Abstract: A method and composition relating to treating subterranean wells and particularly relating to treating subterranean wells with crosslinked well treatment fluids is shown. The method and composition involve the use of a ulexite with a crosslinking accelerator selected from the group consisting of ammonium salts.
Abstract: Digital content can be broadcast in a sideband of an analog broadcast channel using multiple digital in-band on-channel (IBOC) transceivers connected in a mesh configuration to form an IBOC mesh network. The digital IBOC transceivers are positioned at various geographic locations, so that unlike traditional “HD” radio broadcasts, the IBOC broadcast transmission is spread out over a wide area, using multiple low power digital IBOC transceivers rather than being broadcast from the same location as the analog signal. An edge transceiver can limit IBOC transmission power of the IBOC transceivers to a desired portion of the power used to broadcast the analog signal. The edge server can make this determination based on measurements taken at the geographically distributed digital IBOC transceivers. The IBOC mesh network provides bi-directional communication between a mesh transceiver and a user device, and can be used to deliver user feedback.
Abstract: A valve can include a closure device which selectively permits and prevents fluid communication between an interior and an exterior of the valve, an incremental displacement device which incrementally displaces the closure device in response to pressure differentials between the interior and the exterior of the valve, and an accelerator device which accelerates displacement of the closure device in response to a predetermined pattern of the pressure differentials. A method of operating a valve in a well can include applying a predetermined pattern of pressure differentials between an interior and an exterior of a tubular string in which the valve is connected, thereby incrementally displacing a closure device of the valve, and accelerating displacement of the closure device in response to the predetermined pattern of pressure differentials, thereby displacing the closure device to a selected one of an open and a closed position.
Abstract: Data from a plurality of data sources is provided to a multi-source data management system, which stores the data and provides it to a data accuracy system for purposes of assessing the accuracy of data records and the individual fields within data records. Data accuracy scores may be stored at the data management system with the data records to which they pertain. Accuracy scores may be periodically recalculated and monitored, and alerts provided if an accuracy score changes a predetermined amount over a given period of time. Also, data records may be provided by a data user for accuracy assessment, using other data records stored at the multi-sourced data management system.
Abstract: A compacting system compacts particulate matter in open-top railroad gondola cars rolling on rails. The compacting system includes a compacting station adjacent the rails and a scanning system that scans the gondola cars as they move along the rails toward the compacting station. The scanning system transmits data of the gondola car to an electronic control system. The compacting station has at least one compaction member, e.g., a plate structure or a roller, configured to contact an upper surface of the particulate matter in the gondola cars. The electronic control system controls the compacting station so that the compaction member engages with and applies force to the upper surface of the particulate matter in the gondola car so as to compress the particulate matter in the gondola. A method for compacting particulate matter in a gondola car is also shown.

Abstract: A leak detection system for testing a tubing collar of wellbore tubing. The leak detection system can have a test unit with a control system for simultaneously controlling a gas system, a water system, a gas analysis system, and a tubing collar testing tool. The tubing collar testing tool is initially pressurized with tracer gas to a first pressure and then pressurized using water to a second pressure. A sample is taken from proximate to the tubing collar while the tubing collar testing tool is at the second pressure, the sample is analyzed for tracer gas, and if tracer gas is present in the sample in ppm of greater than or equal to 1 ppm, then the control system alerts that a leak is present in the tubing collar.
