  • Patent number: 9898778
Abstract: An image of a check may be presented for payment in a banking system in place of the physical paper check. The check to be deposited can be collected from a depositor using a scanner. A web site, accessed through a depositor's web browser, can be used to drive the process of collecting the check, but in some contexts (e.g., in less popular computing environments, such as those that do not run the most popular operating systems), it is economically infeasible to obtain the certificates that would be used to allow a program executing in the web browser to control the scanner. Thus, a depositor can be instructed to capture and upload images of the check in the form of files, where the image files are then presented for payment through a banking system.

  • Publication number: 20180044254
Abstract: This invention relates to a urea granule with a nitrogen stabilizer and carrier system substantially homogenously dispersed throughout the granule thickness. Several methods are disclosed to make the urea granule, including prilling, fluidized bed, and drum granulation. The carrier system can comprise any solvent system that is both: (1) stable at urea melt temperatures of ˜120° C.; (2) able to solvate the nitrogen stabilizer system; and (3) miscible in molten urea. Such carrier systems can be blends of NMP and a glycol (e.g. propylene glycol). The nitrogen stabilizer can include a urease inhibitor, such as NBPT, where the NBPT purity can be between 90 and 99%. The nitrogen stabilizer can also include a nitrification inhibitor, such as DCD.

  • Publication number: 20180047157
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying body joint location includes obtaining skeletal data, depth data and red, green, and blue (RGB) data pertaining to a user, obtaining, using input data, an estimate of body joint locations (BJLs) and body segment lengths (BSLs), iteratively identifying, based on the depth data and RGB data, probable correct BJLs in a bounded neighborhood around BJLs that are previously obtained, comparing a body segment length associated with the probable correct BJLs and a reference length, identifying candidate BJLs based on comparison, determining a physical orientation of each body segment by segmenting three dimensional (3D) coordinates of each body segment based on the depth data and performing an analysis on each segmented 3D coordinate. A corrected BJL is identified based on a minimal deviation in direction from the physical orientation of a corresponding body segment along with a feature descriptor of the RGB data and depth data.

  • Publication number: 20180046564
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed herein to identify causes of alarms generated corresponding to each alarm of the static analysis. The system models the basic reasons for alarms as alarm cause points of several types. Further, the system ranks these cause points based on different metrics such as unknown type-based ranking, grouping of cause points based on their lexical similarity or proximity and last but not least contribution score based ranking. The system also uses a workflow in which a user answers queries about the cause points and their answers are used in subsequent round of the static analysis. The collaboration between the answers of the user and the static analysis helps the tool to resolve the unknowns encountered during the analysis and weeding out the alarms. It also helps the user to expedite the manual inspections of alarms.

Abstract: System and method for analyzing and prioritizing issues for automation are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for addressing issues associated with automation, and more particularly to, system and method for analyzing and prioritizing issues for automation is disclosed. The problem of analyzing and prioritizing issues for automation that result in benefits is disclosed. The present disclosure proposes to select only those issues for automation that are expected to last long enough to repay cost invested in their automation. Further, the proposed approach prioritizes the issues on the basis of benefits realized by automation of an issue with respect to cost of implementing automation and savings in the cost of resolution of the issue due to automation. Furthermore, the proposed approach compares and contrasts two case studies and demonstrates how the inherent differences about the domain get captured through this approach and are reflected in various steps of automation prioritization.

  • Publication number: 20180043452
Abstract: A pipe assembly station for performing operations on a field joint during pipe assembly has an active rail extending around an opening through which the pipe can pass. Tool carriages are arranged to traverse along the active rail and around a periphery of the pipe. The station also comprises a standby position, distanced from the active rail and a switch arranged to transfer the tool carriage from the active rail to the standby position. By providing such a combination of a rail and a standby position, a tool carriage can be brought into position on the active rail to perform a pipe joining operation and can be subsequently set back to the standby position, where it is out of the way of operations taking place on the pipe. Such a switching arrangement allows for more effective use of the limited space around the joint.

  • Publication number: 20180045003
Abstract: A well tool apparatus comprises a control arrangement configured to control response of the downhole tool by varying a bore-annulus pressure difference. The control arrangement includes a valve piston longitudinally slidable in a generally tubular controller housing that is in operation substantially co-axial with the wellbore, to open or close a valve port to a fluid flow connection between the drill strings interior and the tool. A latch mechanism is configured to latch the valve piston against movement in one axial direction, keeping the valve piston in an open or a closed condition. Unlatching of the valve piston requires displacement thereof in the other axial direction to a mode change position. A stay member is automatically displaceable under hydraulic actuation responsive to bore-annulus pressure differences above a trigger threshold value, to obstruct movement of the latched valve piston under hydraulic actuation to the mode change position.

  • Publication number: 20180045026
Abstract: A composite drill gun for use in a wellbore environment can include a detonation housing containing a detonation source, a composite carrier containing one or more encapsulated charges, and a detonation train connecting the detonation source to the encapsulated charges. The detonation source and each individual encapsulated charge are all sealed with respect to the wellbore environment, and thus the carrier need not be sealed with respect to the wellbore environment. The carrier can be made out of composite materials without worry of leaks into the interior of the carrier, as the detonation source and encapsulated charges are all sealed with respect to the wellbore environment. The composite carrier can be easily drilled out of the wellbore after detonation.
