  • Patent number: 9552573
Abstract: A method and system provide interoperable electronic financial services using mobile communications devices and without the need for traditional banking systems like plastic cards, POS machines, branches and ATMs. A consumer can deposit and/or withdraw money from his account using his mobile device and with the help of a local agent without ever stepping inside a branch of a bank where the consumer has an account. The system uses the consumers ID and his mobile number to generate a PAN for the consumer, which is then used to route the transactions. The system uses indicators in the transaction to identify transaction purpose and thus enable appropriate interchange, clearing and settlement between participating entities. The system provides real-time feedback on the transactions and reduces costs by enabling an agent to service consumers of multiple banks and payment service providers.

  • Patent number: 9552379
Abstract: Systems and methods for foreign key identification are described. The method includes computing a threshold value for each of a primary key-foreign key (PK-FK) pair of a super-set of PK-FK, and generating a sub-set of PK-FK pairs based on comparison of the threshold value and a predefined threshold value. The predefined threshold value is indicative of an acceptance criterion. Further, the method includes determining a conformance score for each of the PK-FK pair of the subset of PK-FK pairs. The conformance score is based on deviations between Cumulative Probability Distribution (CPD) values of PK and CPD of FK for each PK-FK pair. Further, the method includes comparing the conformance score of the each PK-FK pair of the sub-set of PK-FK pairs with a predetermined acceptability index. The predetermined acceptability index is indicative of an acceptance of at least one positive FK from the set of PK-FK pairs.

  • Publication number: 20170019196
Abstract: Small changes in a broadcast version of a base media item can be identified by performing a multi-level comparison of digital fingerprints. A fingerprint of a base media item is compared to a fingerprint of a media broadcast to determine whether a media item embedded in a broadcast is likely, to a first level of certainty, to be the base media item. A second, more stringent, match between the fingerprint of the base media item and loosely matched items can be used to identify potentially-altered versions of the base media item. Potentially-altered versions can be compared against each other, and resulting matches are flagged as altered base media items, which can be fingerprinted and tested against broadcast fingerprints in the same manner as the base media item.

  • Publication number: 20170016277
Abstract: Adjustable drill string housings are described for use in the directional drilling of wellbores, e.g. wellbores for hydrocarbon recovery wells. The adjustable drill string housings permit adjustment of a bend angle in the housings without removing the housings from a wellbore. In some exemplary embodiments, the bend angle can be adjusted by changing the internal stresses in a support member carried by the housings. In other embodiments, the bend angle may be adjusted by causing failure of sacrificial support members carried by the housings, and the failure may be caused by delivering chemicals through a chemical delivery system to the sacrificial support members. Methods of operating the adjustable drill string housings include multi-lateral drilling operations wherein the bend angle is adjusted when a casing window has been detected.

  • Publication number: 20170015899
Abstract: A treatment to temporarily block highly permeable areas in a wellbore having a temperature of less than 160° F. A diverting agent, a catalyzer, and a viscosifier are mixed together and pumped in the wellbore where the treatment flows in the most highly permeable areas. The diverting agent then begins to block those areas as the well is treated finally causing the fluid to divert to other now more highly permeable areas of the wellbore. After less than 48 hours the diverting agent degrades sufficiently to restore the permeablility of the wellbore.

  • Publication number: 20170017735
Abstract: A technique for energy sample forecasting of heating, venting and air conditioning-refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems is disclosed. In an example, a first expected energy sample of a HVAC-R system at a first time period is forecasted by modelling actual energy samples of the HVAC-R system at previous time periods using a statistically-based seasonal-autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) model. Further, an anomaly is detected at the first time period when deviation between the first expected energy sample and an actual energy sample at the first time period is greater than a dynamic context sensitive threshold. Also, an expected energy sample at next time period is forecasted by modelling a second expected energy sample of the HVAC-R system at the first time period using the statistically-based SARIMA model upon detecting anomaly. The second expected energy sample is forecasted by modelling the actual energy samples at the previous time periods using a physical model.

  • Publication number: 20170016293
Abstract: A downhole tool assembly includes a downhole tool and an anchor. The anchor is positionable at a downhole work site and includes a wet-connect port for engaging a battery pack. The tool operates until the battery runs low on power, when a low battery power alert is activated. The tool may be anchored at the work site while the battery is disconnected and retrieved to the surface for replacement. One or more charged batteries are then deployed and connected to the tool without having to remove the tool from the worksite or reposition the tool. The tool may be coupled to a wireline cable or a slickline cable or coiled tubing having a conductive wire for delivering low-voltage power to the tool. While the low-voltage power may not be adequate to operate the tool at full load, the power may be used to charge the tool during downtime.
