Abstract: A method of validating data that includes receiving a bill of material and a part provisioning dataset and extracting at least one of part information from the bill of material or part provisioning information from the part provisioning dataset. The method further includes comparing the part information to the part provisioning information and determining a compatibility between the part information and the part provisioning information.

Abstract: A lock protection for a light vehicle is selectively engageable to a light vehicle docking stand for securing thereto. The lock protection comprises a body selectively covering a lock of the light vehicle. The body is movable with respect to the lock between a first position and a second position. When in the first position the body prevents access to the lock. When in the second position the body allows access to the lock. When the vehicle is disengaged from the docking stand, the body is movable to the second position. When the vehicle is engaged to the docking stand, the body is maintained in the first position by the docking stand. A lock and lock protection assembly is also presented.

Abstract: An explosives detonator system for detonating an explosive charge with which it is, in use, arranged in a detonating relationship is provided. On acceptance of a detonation initiating signal having a detonation initiating property, the system initiates and thus detonates the explosive charge. The system includes an initiating device which accepts the detonation initiating signal and initiates and thus detonates the explosive charge. The initiating device is initially in a non-detonation initiating condition, in which it is not capable of accepting the detonation initiating signal. The system also includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) based switching device that detects a switching property of a radio switching signal that is transmitted to the detonator system and switches the initiating device, on detection of the detonation initiating property, to a standby condition in which the initiating device is capable of operatively accepting the detonation initiating signal when it is transmitted thereto.

Abstract: A radiotherapy system is disclosed. The radiotherapy system comprises an electron beam generator for generating an electron beam and a magnetic field generator for generating a magnetic field. In some embodiments of the present invention, the system further comprises a controller for controlling the electron beam and the magnetic field generators such that the electron beam is dynamically shifted and the magnetic field is dynamically redirected synchronously with the shifting.

Abstract: The differentiated service-based graceful degradation layer (DSGDL) allows cloud-based architectures to operate through and recover from periods of limited capability. The DSGDL protects and continues serving higher priority requests with the best possible response even as the underlying cloud-based services deteriorate. The DSGDL offloads lower priority requests to lower-grade secondary capability that can be dynamically provisioned in order to reserve the best capability for maintaining high priority service (e.g., by re-directing lower priority requests to a slightly out-of-date cached dataset, and reserve the primary consistent database for higher priority requests). The DSGDL 1) implements an overlay network over existing cloud services to route and enforce priority requests, and 2) provisions on-demand computing nodes and sites to provide secondary capability for service requests as needed.

Abstract: Commercial size of spending wallet (“CSoSW”) is the total business spend of a business including cash but excluding bartered items. Commercial share of wallet (“CSoW”) is the portion of the spending wallet that is captured by a particular financial company. A modeling approach utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a company's spend capacity. Private equity firms and other investors of small businesses can use the CSoW/CSoSW modeling approach to more accurately evaluate small and privately held companies, both during investment and for evaluating prospective investments. Over-the-counter securities trading systems can also use this modeling approach to provide more accurate information and/or rankings of listed companies to their customers.

Abstract: Toll transaction payment processing includes accessing image data for a vehicle, the image data corresponding to at least one image of the vehicle engaging in a transaction with a toll facility. The image data is processed to determine one or more vehicle identifiers for the vehicle. A fleet vehicle company associated with the vehicle is electronically identified based on the one or more vehicle identifiers. Billing information for the transaction between the vehicle and the toll facility is electronically communicated to the fleet vehicle company.

Abstract: A system for testing the effectiveness of webpage configurations is disclosed. Tags indicating dependency between sections of a webpage may be associated with the sections. In response to a version of a first section of a webpage being tested, an associated tag may indicate that the content or behavior of a second section is dependent on the first section. A webpage configuration including content of the first section, and corresponding behavior and content of the second section, may be transmitted to a web client. Data may be collected indicating the effectiveness of the webpage configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are described for contiguously seating passengers in a travel conveyance. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a seat request for multiple seats, and, in response to receiving the seat request, calculating factors associated with each seat in a set of eligible seats. The method includes defining an initial set of seats as a subset of the set of eligible seats, defining a set of factors for each seat in the initial set of seats, associating a priority with the multiple factor sets, where the factors include multiple contiguity and vacancy factors, the contiguity factors being of a higher priority than the vacancy factors. The method includes processing the factors based on the priority to identify an anchor seat from the initial set of seats, assigning the multiple seats based on the anchor seat.

Abstract: Described herein is the identification of primate-specific glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor opposite strand (GDNFOS) transcripts and encoded peptides. In particular embodiments, provided herein are three GDNFOS antisense transcripts, referred to as GDNFOS-1, GDNFOS-2 and GDNFOS-3. The GDNFOS-3 transcript encodes an ORF of 105 amino acids. Compositions comprising the GDNFOS transcripts and peptides are also provided by the present disclosure. Further provided are methods of treating a neurodegenerative or peripheral organ disease in a subject by administering a therapeutically effective amount of the disclosed GDNFOS nucleic acid molecules, peptides or compositions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to expansion tools used to centralize a casing-casing annulus in a wellbore. One embodiment provides a method for centralizing an inner casing within an outer casing that includes introducing an expansion tool into the inner casing. The expansion tool has an elongate body having a first force multiplier case coupled to an expansion tool case. A piston arranged within the first force multiplier case is actuated to move the piston axially in a first direction within the first force multiplier case. The piston engages a ram arranged within the expansion tool, and causes the radial expansion of one or more lug assemblies arranged within the expansion tool case. The inner casing is then plastically deformed with the one or more lug assemblies as they expand radially.

Abstract: A system is described for relative positioning of tags in a real time locating system. The system may include a memory and a processor in communication with the memory. The memory may store layout information for a work area which includes architectural and infrastructure attributes. The processor may determine a number of access points to position in the work area. The processor may determine a placement of a tag in the work area based on readings gathered by the access points. The processor may further determine a level of accuracy for a location of the tag within the work area. The processor may provide a graphical representation of the positioning of the access points in the work area, as well as an indication of the accuracy of the tag within the work area.

Abstract: The present invention relates to expansion tools used to centralize a casing-casing annulus in a wellbore. One embodiment provides an elongate body having a first force multiplier case coupled to an expansion tool case. A piston may be arranged within the first force multiplier case and configured to translate axially therein. A ram may be arranged within the expansion tool case, the ram being coupled to the piston and configured to translate axially within the expansion tool case in response to a force applied by the piston. One or more lug assemblies are arranged within the expansion tool case and configured to radially expand once engaged by the ram as the ram translates axially.

Abstract: A system, method, and medium are disclosed for managing application deployments on cloud infrastructures. The system comprises a services console configured to store management policies. Each management policy corresponds to a respective application deployment on one or more clouds and indicates (1) one or more potential runtime conditions and (2) one or more corresponding management actions. The system further comprises a monitoring engine configured to monitor runtime conditions of the application deployments, and to determine that runtime conditions of a given application deployment match the one or more potential conditions indicated by a given management policy corresponding to the given application deployment. The system also includes a policy engine configured to respond to the determination of the monitoring engine by performing the one or more management actions of the given management policy.

Abstract: A corpus of textual listings is received and main concept words and attribute words therein are identified via an iterative process of parsing listings and expanding a semantic model. During the parsing phase, the corpus of textual listings is parsed to tag one or more head noun words and/or one or more identifier words in each listing based on previously identified main concept words or using a head noun identification rule. Once substantially each listing in the corpus has been parsed in this manner, the expansion phase assigns head noun words as main concept words and modifier words as attribute words, where possible. During the next iteration, the newly identified main concept words and/or attribute words are used to further parse the listings. These iterations are repeated until a termination condition is reached. Remaining words in the corpus are clustered based on the main concept words and attribute words.

Abstract: Systems and methods for distributed control and energy management of one or more communities of energy-consuming units may include aggregation of consumption data from units, and determining per-unit electricity consumption based thereon, including consumption of backup power provided by a community during periods of time of poor quality (brownouts) or blackouts of a utility. A system may calculate and assess to respective units per-unit costs for such backup power. A system may also issue a command or alert to units to carry out one or both of community electricity usage objectives and electricity quotas required by the utility, which may be determined through execution of rules.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating a transcript of a speech sample response to a test question. The speech sample response to the test question is provided to a language model, where the language model is configured to perform an automated speech recognition function. The language model is adapted to the test question to improve the automated speech recognition function by providing to the language model automated speech recognition data related to the test question, Internet data related to the test question, or human-generated transcript data related to the test question. The transcript of the speech sample is generated using the adapted language model.
