  • Patent number: 7484663
Abstract: Methods and systems for automating inventory and dispatch procedures at a staging area by automatically detecting the arrival or departure of delivery vehicles, container devices and other such items. Detection of these items is facilitated by the use of automatic identification tags, and other such devices, that are physically associated with each such item. The detection of inbound vehicles and related container devices triggers a series of automated communications that facilitate the dispatch of such items within the staging area. When a delivery vehicle or container device departs, the system can be configured to check the tag or device associated with each such item so as to confirm that the correct container device(s) are associated with the correct outbound delivery vehicle. The system further provides a method of tracking inventories of such items in real time.

  • Patent number: 7485498
Abstract: Efficient utilization of space in a laterally-conducting semiconductor device package is enhanced by creating at least one supplemental downbond pad portion of the diepad for receiving the downbond wire from the ground contact of the device. The supplemental diepad portion may occupy area at the end or side of the package formerly occupied by non-integral leads. By receiving the substrate downbond wire, the supplemental diepad portion allows a greater area of the main diepad to be occupied by a die having a larger area, thereby enhancing space efficiency of the package.

  • Patent number: 7487525
Abstract: A processor in a television program delivery system receives programs watched information from terminals in a television delivery system. The processor arranges the programs watched information in a database or programs watched matrix so that the frequency of programs watched may be determined. The programs watched matrix may consist of time slots and program categories. The processor determines a program count for programs or program categories. The program count may then be used to send programming to the terminals. The terminals may provide the programs watched information in response to a cyclic polling message generated by the processor or by using a random access routine. The programs watched information may be provided over a cable or a telephone line.

  • Patent number: 7485440
Abstract: Recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are provided in which expression of the second translational open reading frame encoded by the M2 gene (M2ORF2) is reduced or ablated to yield novel RSV vaccine candidates. Expression of M2 ORF2 is reduced or ablated by modifying a recombinant RSV genome or antigenome to incorporate a frame shift mutation, or one or more stop codons in M2 ORF2. Alternatively, M2 ORF2 is deleted in whole or in part to render the M2-2 protein partially or entirely non-functional or to disrupt its expression altogether. M2 ORF2 deletion and knock out mutants possess highly desirable phenotypic characteristics for vaccine development. These changes specify one or more desired phenotypic changes in the resulting virus or subviral particle. Vaccine candidates are generated that show a change in mRNA transcription, genomic or antigenomic RNA replication, viral growth characteristics, viral antigen expression, viral plaque size, and/or a change in cytopathogenicity.

  • Patent number: 7486660
Abstract: A voice call is transported through diverse network paths including a switched telephone network and a wide area data internetwork, for example, the Internet. In routing the call, common channel signalling is used to provide data identifying a calling subscriber line from a calling PSTN, which information can then be transported through the separate data internetwork to the destination PSTN, at which the data is then extracted and sent to the called subscriber line while completing routing of the call. A route for the call is established at gateways connected to the data internetwork at the interface points with the calling and destination PSTNs, calling subscriber line information and dialed digit information being conveyed to the gateways. The destination end gateway initiates a call connection to the calling subscriber line via the destination PSTN to complete routing of the call, while supplying identification of the calling subscriber line in a form recognized as such by the called PSTN.

Abstract: A coated abrasive product, comprising a first section and a second section, the first and the second sections being continuously joined together by a splice. The first section includes at least one first splice mark adjacent to the splice, wherein the first splice mark is a marking or a cluster of markings. A method of processing an article with such a coated abrasive product, and a method of acquiring information of such a coated abrasive product, respectively, includes detecting at least one characteristic of at least one first splice mark of the first section of the abrasive product, and comparing the detected characteristic to a database, wherein the detected characteristic of the first splice mark conveys approach of the splice and the end of the first section. The method of processing an article further includes providing a signal to skip the splice to thereby prevent the article being processed with splice area of the abrasive product.

  • Publication number: 20090030616
Abstract: A method for forming a borehole image of an azimuthally sensitive borehole or formation parameter is disclosed. Such a borehole image may be formed, for example, by processing logging sensor data with a predetermined sensor response function (also referred to herein as a probability density function) to acquire probabilistically distributed sensor data. The sensor data may be distributed in either one-dimension (azimuthal) or two-dimensions (azimuthal and axial). Certain embodiments of this invention may be advantageously utilized in LWD imaging applications and provide for superior image resolution and noise rejection as compared to prior art binning techniques. Exemplary embodiments of the invention also advantageously conserve logging sensor data such that integration of the distributed data over the entire circumference of the tool provides a non-azimuthally sensitive logging measurement.
