Abstract: An actuator for exciting at least one component of a motor vehicle with vibrations. The actuator includes: a housing which is configured to be directly or indirectly connected to the component, an electrical coil which is connected to the housing and is configured to generate an electromagnetic field when an electric current flows through the coil, and a magnet which is entirely or partially arranged in the housing and the magnet is arranged so as to be movable to a limited extent relative to the housing. The housing has, all around, at least one electrically conductive ring which surrounds the magnet in respect of its undeflected state.

Abstract: Multi-phase measurements of a fluid in a wellbore can be received and stored by a memory tool for determining flow characteristics of fluid flowing in the wellbore. A system can include a flow meter device, one or more sensors, and a memory tool The flow meter device can include one or more acoustic devices that can be positioned to generate acoustic signals in a wellbore. The one or more sensors can be positioned to detect the acoustic signals from the flow meter device for making multi-phase measurements of fluid with respect to the wellbore. The memory tool can be communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors to receive and store the multi-phase measurements for a predetermined amount of time for determining flow characteristics of the fluid.

Abstract: Devices and methods of rocket propulsion are disclosed. In one aspect, a staged combustion liquid rocket engine with preburner and turbopump unit (TPU) integrated into the structure of the combustion chamber is described. An initial propellant mixture is combusted in a preburner combustion chamber formed as an annulus around a main combustion chamber, the combustion products from the preburner driving the turbine of the TPU and subsequently injected into the main combustion chamber for secondary combustion along with additional propellants, generating thrust through a supersonic nozzle. The preburner inner cylindrical wall is shared with the outer cylindrical wall of the engine's main combustion chamber and the turbine is axially aligned with the main combustion chamber.
Abstract: A significantly self-contained station for providing selective control and operation of motorized equipment (such as a conveyor) via a momentary contact switch or wireless remote, where the self-contained station is connected to and receives power from an existing service disconnect line of the equipment, where upon the service disconnect line being powered, the self-contained station receives power to provide electrical signals to a motor contactor of the self-contained station, which then selectively provides electrical signal to a motor of the equipment to selectively operate the equipment.
