Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to method and system for jointly pruning and hardware acceleration of pre-trained deep learning models. The present disclosure enables pruning a plurality of DNN models layers using an optimal pruning ratio. The method processes a pruning request to transform the plurality of DNN models and the plurality of hardware accelerators into a plurality of pruned hardware accelerated DNN models based on at least one user option. The first pruning search option executes a hardware pruning search technique to perform search on each DNN model and each processor based on at least one of a performance indicator and an optimal pruning ratio. The second pruning search option executes an optimal pruning search technique, to perform search on each layer with corresponding pruning ratio.

Abstract: A method for determining authenticity of an object in real-time is disclosed. The method being performed by a processor includes receiving image data of the object. The image data includes both the captured image showing a visual representation of the object as well as depth data describing the relative distance between different objects in the image and the camera. This depth information is analyzed in order to determine a liveness of the object. The analysis may include verifying a sufficient change in depth between the subject and a background as well as comparing an edge of a foreground object to an expected edge or an edge determined from the image. Based on this analysis, a determination can be made as to whether the image is of a live (e.g., real) subject.

Abstract: A container includes a plurality of panels foldably connected to one another, wrapping around an interior space configured for containing product. Two of the plurality of panels cooperate to form a top wall of the interior space. A respective end flap is foldably connected to each of the two panels of the top wall. The end flaps cooperate to form a portion of an end wall that forms a lateral bound of the interior space. Each end flap is connected to its respective panel of the top wall with a line of weakness configured to be broken to allow conversion of the top wall wherein the two panels of the top wall are opened for access to the interior space.

Abstract: Secure protocols for external-facing authentication are provided for both user templates stored on their devices and the biometric measurement captured by external sensors of an access device. The protocols provide different levels of security, ranging from passive security with some leakage to active security with no leakage. A packing technique is also provided. Zero-knowledge techniques are used during enrollment to validate a norm of user templates and knowledge of the plaintext biometric template. Once enrolled, the verifier can sign the encrypted template for use in a later matching phase with an access device.

Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes transmitting, by a user device to an access device, a digital certificate and a seed. The access device encrypts the seed and a first access device key with a public key from the digital certificate to form encrypted data. The method also includes receiving from the access device, the encrypted data, decrypting the encrypted data using a private key corresponding to the public key to obtain the seed and the first access device key, verifying that the seed received from the access device matches the seed sent to the access device, encrypting a secret or derivative thereof with the first access device key to form an encrypted secret or derivative thereof, and transmitting to the access device, the encrypted secret or derivative thereof.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to utilizing a steganographically encoded image with an offline and/or online verification or authentication protocol. A method for using the steganographic image can include: receiving or utilizing a steganographic image associated with a user at a third-party device, the steganographically encoded image including an identification of a user steganographically encoded with a fingerprint template of the user, and authenticating the user using the steganographically encoded image.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed providing user emotion information to a customer service provider. For example, a method may include: transmitting, to a user device over a communication network, application data enabling the user device to perform a functionality usable by a user of the user device, the user device including a camera; receiving, from the user device over the communication network, user feedback data indicative of a characteristic of image data of the user obtained by the camera during usage of the functionality by the user; inputting the value of the facial expression parameter into a machine learning model to determine an assessment of an emotional state of the user during the usage of the functionality; and providing the assessment to the customer service provider.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to a system and method for proactively generating an intervening message for a remote client device in response to an anticipated user action. A computing system receives one or more streams of user activity. The one or more streams of user activity include interaction with a server of an organization via an application executing on the remote client device. The computing system inputs the one or more streams of user activity into a prediction model. The computing system identifies an anticipated user action based on a prediction output from the prediction model. The computing system determines, based on a solution model, a proposed solution to the anticipated user action. The computing system generates an anticipated message to be transmitted to the remote client device of the user. The computing system transmits the anticipated message to the remote client device of the user.

Abstract: A cleaner assembly for an apparatus for making pouch products includes a cleaner roller and a poker roller. The cleaner roller may counter rotate with a rotatable drum of the apparatus, in contact with an upper surface of a first elastic layer on the rotatable drum, and at a greater tangential speed than at least one surface of an outer circumferential surface of the rotatable drum or an upper surface of the first elastic layer. The poker roller includes projections that are each configured to extend into one or more divots of the rotatable drum. The poker roller may counter rotate with the rotatable drum and at a same tangential speed as the at least one surface such that the projections extend into and out of separate, respective divots of the rotatable drum based on the counter rotation of the poker roller and the rotatable drum.

Abstract: A BLUETOOTH low energy mobile payments system may comprise a BLE beacon that is deployed at a merchant location. The BLE beacon may be associated with a specific merchant terminal. The BLE beacon may be configured to broadcast a unique beacon ID that is detectable by a user device. The user device may be configured to communicate the beacon ID to a payment system In response to receiving the beacon ID, the user device may initiate a payment between a user and a merchant, via a user device and a merchant terminal.

Abstract: Stubble burning is a serious problem resulting in pollution attributable to smog, loss of nutrients in the top soil, and risk of fires spreading out of control. Existing methodologies have attempted to predict burning areas, but have failed to do so because of inefficient sensing mechanism. Present disclosure proposes a system and method to compute burning index score pertaining to crops by detecting harvest season and predicting probable areas of burning by combining current year's crop area map along with harvesting period and historical hot spot information. Computation of the burning index score is accomplished based on inputs received from at least one of satellite imaging, multi-spectral drone based sensing devices and crowdsourcing information. This will help to prioritize the area for taking corrective measures such as training of farmers, availability of resources, optimizing the resources schedule, etc.

Additionally, determining accident information based on the traffic data from the plurality of traffic cameras and selecting at least one available vehicle for purchase, wherein the at least one available vehicle matches one or more predetermined requirements based on the determined vehicle information, average idling time, and the determined accident information. Additionally, transmitting a recommendation based on the selected at least one available vehicle for purchase.

The measurement tool may include a body and an antenna. The body may include magnets for generating a magnetic field and a transmitter for transmitting a radiofrequency pulse. The antenna may be positioned proximate to the body to measure properties using nuclear magnetic resonant frequencies. The antenna may measure formation properties in a first volume of a formation using a first frequency. The antenna may measure drilling mud properties in a second volume in a borehole using a second frequency.

Abstract: In some implementations, an event management device may generate a document object model (DOM) associated with a graphical user interface (GUI) that is associated with a platform to cause one or more fields to be included in the GUI. The event management device may provide, to the platform, the DOM to cause the GUI to be displayed. The event management device may receive, via the GUI, an indication of information associated with the event. The event management device may determine that the event satisfies the criteria based on the information received via the GUI. The event management device may store the information associated with the event in a database in connection with an identifier indicating that the event satisfies the criteria. The event management device may transmit an indication of the one or more metrics for display via a client device.
