Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving a broadcast signal from a beacon device, the broadcast signal encoding a first credential associated with a first entity. In response to receipt of the broadcast signal, the mobile communication device transmits the received first credential to an authentication system. The authentication system determines if the first entity associated with the broadcast signal is authentic and generates a confirmation message confirming the authenticity of the first entity. The mobile communication device then receives the confirmation message indicating that the first entity is authentic. The mobile communication thereafter receives and transmits a second credential for the mobile communication device to the beacon device, which transmits the second credential to the authentication system. The authentication system then confirms the authenticity of the mobile communication device.

Abstract: Magnetic stripe cards including a skimmer detection mechanism detect unauthorized access to data and information stored on a magnetic strip of a magnetic stripe card by illicit card skimming devices. In one embodiment, a method of detecting an unauthorized scan of confidential data encoded on a magnetic strip portion of a magnetic stripe card having a skimmer detection mechanism includes detecting a scan of the magnetic strip portion, measuring a parameter associated with the scan of the magnetic strip portion by the skimmer detection mechanism, and comparing the measured parameter to a baseline value associated with the parameter. Upon determining that the parameter exceeds the baseline value, an unauthorized scan of confidential data encoded on the magnetic strip portion of the magnetic stripe card is detected.

The treatment fluid comprises an aqueous fluid, an aminopolycarboxylic acid, a nanoparticle dispersed, and an organic solvent. The treatment fluid has a pH in a range between about 5 to about 9. The method further includes contacting a rock surface in the subterranean formation; wherein at least a portion of the rock surface is coated with a hydrocarbon. The treatment fluid removes a portion of the hydrocarbon from the rock surface and alters the rock surface to be water-wet.

The processor is configured to receive: vehicle data associated with a vehicle associated with a user, where the vehicle data is indicative of characteristics of the vehicle, maintenance recommendation data indicative of vehicle maintenance recommendations for the vehicle, maintenance service data indicative of maintenance services performed on the vehicle, and activity data associated with operation of the vehicle. The filter parameter is determined based on the profile state surpassing the user profile criterion. A content recognition model is used to identify a message content of each message. An electronic message that matches the content type is identified and filtered at the electronic messaging client to prevent the content from being presented.

A system may provide a service associated with a account having an account balance and an associated first interest rate. The system may include a service device having one or more memory devices storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform a separate interest rate service process. The process may include providing a separate interest rate service offer to a client device and receiving a separate interest rate selection from the client device. The process may also include determining a selected portion of the account balance corresponding to an amount to which a second interest rate, different from the first interest rate, is to be applied based on the separate interest rate selection.

Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein may quantify the content and nature of first streaming data to detect when the typical composition of the first streaming data changes. Quantifying the content and nature of the first streaming data may begin by generating a baseline representation of the content of the first streaming data as represented by a first matrix. Once generated, the first matrix may be used as a control against subsequently received data streams. In this regard, a second matrix may be generated from second streaming data and compared to the first matrix to determine the differences between the first streaming data and the second streaming data. Once a difference is determined, the difference may be compared to a threshold value and, when the difference exceeds the threshold value, an administrator may be notified and corrective action taken.
