Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for processing insurance payments associated with catastrophic events. The system includes one or more processors configured to receive information about a catastrophic event triggering insurance payment along with a deductible payable by the policyholder. The system further includes one or more processors configured to receive information about the policyholder electing to participate in a deductible installment plan, and to advance on behalf of the policyholder of a payment up to the amount of the deductible. A computer record is generated comprising data about the policyholder, the covered property loss, the amount of the deductible, and the repayment schedule. One or more processors are configured to periodically update the record to reflect pertinent insurance deductible payment events, the completion of each step in a sequence of steps associated with payment events in the deductible installment plan.
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include various borehole imaging tools and methods to provide sensing surface configurations for improving the assessment of anisotropy in layered formations. In at least some embodiments, the borehole imaging tools employ a unitary conductive body to provide a wall-contacting face with grooves that define multiple elongated sensing surfaces. This wall-contacting face can be provided on an extendable sensor pad of a wireline logging tool or embedded on the outer surface of a LWD stabilizer fin. Toroids may be seated in the grooves around each elongated sensing surface for measuring the current flow through each sensing surface. The elongated sensing surfaces can be configured in arranged in pairs as a series of rectangular-shaped grooves that are aligned perpendicularly to each other within each of the pairs to improve detection of anisotropy in thin layered formations and improves the sensitivity to dipping in anisotropic formations.
Abstract: A system and method for identifying real time change in a scene of an unknown environment using an unmanned vehicle. In the context of unmanned vehicle navigation, it is critical to calculate the saliency map in real time and employ them in scene understanding. This will reduce the search space and ensure that the process is quicker. A domain specific ontology is created and a saliency model is developed. The saliency model detects key domain specific regions of interest in two consecutive images. The regions of interest is used for registration and change detection. The system is detecting the change by using visual saliency as an abstract feature that is developed in the environment. Probability of change is derived using the salient maps of the two images.
Abstract: A media automation system generates multiple instances of a media broadcast stream, which includes core content common to each of the instances of the media broadcast stream, and multiple spot blocks interspersed within the media broadcast stream. Each stream instance is associated with a particular media playout device. A user notification is received and a packaged user notification is generated for inclusion in a particular instance of the media broadcast stream. Packaging the user notification includes obtaining first account information associated with a media delivery platform account of a user associated with a particular media playout device, and second account information associated with a consumer notification service account of the user. The user notification is mapped to the particular media playout device based on the first and second account information, and the packaged user notification is inserted into a first available spot block of the particular instance of the media broadcast stream.

Abstract: A method and system for enabling a customer to access both an artist profile and associated artist media files for purchase through a Web-based portable store. An artist profile may be hosted on, for example, a web site, SMS/MMS gateway, and a WAP site. A media file may be received from the artist along with a customizable store widget and may be uploaded to the artist's profile. The customer may then purchase a media file through the artist's profile by further accessing the Web-based portable store. The artist's account may be updated to indicate the transaction.

Abstract: A weir assembly system comprises an insert dimensioned to be inserted into a section of a wellbore and a plurality of weirs spaced within the insert so as to increase the separation of solids from fluid within the section of the wellbore when the fluid is flowing through the wellbore. The plurality of weirs may be oriented to create a tortuous fluid flow path, such that a flow opening of a first weir causes solids to deposit at a second weir without obstructing a flow opening of the second weir. Additional apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a power unit for a downhole drilling motor includes fabricating a stator that provides two or more stator lobes that define an internal profile, and fabricating a rotor that provides at least one rotor lobe that defines an external profile that both rotates and precesses within the internal profile during operation. At least one of an external geometry and an internal geometry of the rotor along all or a portion of the rotor may be varied to alter a stiffness and mass of the rotor and thereby optimize stiffness and force balancing with respect to the stator. The rotor may then be rotatably positioned within the stator and thereby optimize the functioning and reliability of the motor power unit, of the downhole drilling motor assembly, of associated downhole drilling equipment, and to enhance directional drilling tendency modelling and directional drilling trajectory control.
