  • Patent number: 10068171
Abstract: A method and system for domain adaptation based on multi-layer fusion in a convolutional neural network architecture for feature extraction and a two-step training and fine-tuning scheme. The architecture concatenates features extracted at different depths of the network to form a fully connected layer before the classification step. First, the network is trained with a large set of images from a source domain as a feature extractor. Second, for each new domain (including the source domain), the classification step is fine-tuned with images collected from the corresponding site. The features from different depths are concatenated with and fine-tuned with weights adjusted for a specific task. The architecture is used for classifying high occupancy vehicle images.

  • Patent number: 10067973
Abstract: A method and apparatus for collection and analysis of oil rig activity is described. The method includes collecting wellsite data from a plurality of sources, including real-time data sources and macroscopic reports. In certain embodiments, the collected data may be standardized based on templates specifying data format and presentation. Additionally, the data may be automatically corrected by using data error lists that identify algorithms for diagnosing and correcting errors in the data. Data collected from multiple sources may be time-aligned so that data from different sources may be correlated together by time. In certain embodiments, time aligning the data may include adjusting manually-logged timestamps for events in macroscopic reports based on real-time data. In this way, heterogeneous data from a plurality of sources may be homogenized. Optionally, the homogenized data may be used as inputs for wellsite data analysis or to produce various types of quality reports.

  • Patent number: 10069859
Abstract: Some embodiments provide distributed rate limiting to combat network based attacks launched against a distributed platform or customers thereof. The distributed rate limiting involves graduated monitoring to identify when an attack expands beyond a single server to other servers operating from within the same distributed platform distribution point, and when the attack further expands from one distributed platform distribution point to other distribution points. Once request rates across the distributed platform distribution points exceed a global threshold, a first set of attack protections are invoked across the distributed platform. Should request rates increase or continue to exceed the threshold, additional attack protections can be invoked. Distributed rate limiting allows any server within the distributed platform to assume command and control over the graduated monitoring as well as escalating the response to any identified attack.

  • Patent number: 10070183
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that generally relate to content delivery techniques in audio-visual systems. In an audio-visual system, a method of using sensors to incrementally present content elements on a display includes presenting a first content element on the display, receiving first data from a sensor, the first data associated with a first distance. An increment coefficient is identified, and a portion size is determined by reducing the first distance by the increment coefficient. Finally, an unseen portion of a second content element is incrementally added to the display, and a presented portion of the first content element is incrementally removed from the display, the size of the portions added and removed being equal to the determined portion size.
