Abstract: An automation system for programming appliances having programmable controllers, programmable devices and trigger devices that communicate over a communication link. The user programs the programmable devices by placing the programmable controller in its training mode, activating the trigger device to generate a trigger signed and places select programmable devices in their programmed state. After all of the desired programmable devices have been put in then programmed states, the user takes the programmable controller out of its training mode. When the programmable controller is out of its training mode, it monitors the communication link for the trigger event. Upon detecting the trigger event, the programmable controller sends messages to the selected programmable devices instructing them to go to their programmed state.

Abstract: Methods and systems for structuring and operating an integrated energy merchant enterprise are provided. Enterprise core value creation functions are first identified. The core value creation functions are those that are primary profit and loss drivers and are generally market facing entities. The core value creation functions are then integrated with one or more integration functions. The integration functions and core value creation functions are controlled with one or more governance functions.

Abstract: A system and method for alerting interested parties of component failure are provided. The system made up of a diagnostic tool for identifying a failed component, a reporting device for creating alerts, a routing device to ensure interested parties receive the proper alerts, and a memory to store information for associating parties with the alerts. Information is gathered to create an alert used to notify interested parties of instances of component failures. The alerts are routed to parties known to have an interest in the failure of the component. The system and method may provide information that allows for better planning and design of parts, greater availability to ensure a sufficient inventory of parts, more accurate diagnosis of issues, and more effective preventative maintenance.

Abstract: A translator is provided for translating predetermined portions of packet header information including an address of a data packet according to a cipher algorithm keyed by a cipher key derived by a key exchanger. A mapping device is also provided for mapping the address to a host table stored in memory. If the address does not match an entry in the host table, a security device is triggered.

Abstract: A system and method for providing challenge-response solutions to authenticate a user have been provided. The system includes web server comprising interlinking means adapted to interlink a plurality of images with unique index values such that each of the images has a unique index value. The web server includes registration means adapted to enable users to select at least two interlinked images for the purpose of registration. The web server includes challenge generation means adapted to generate, transmit an authentication challenge of the form of one-time equation. The web server, prior to transmitting the one-time equation, computes the value of the equation based on at least the sequence specified by the user. The web server compares the value calculated by the user with the value calculated prior to transmission and authenticates the user only in the event that said value calculated by the user is equivalent to the stored value.

Abstract: A work deck configured for use within an elevator hoistway is provided. The work deck includes a platform having a plurality of planks. A plurality of telescoping assemblies is pivotally connected to one end of the platform, the telescoping assemblies each configured to span the elevator hoistway such that a first end of the telescoping assemblies seats against a building floor and a second end of the telescoping assemblies seats against a hoistway structure. A ladder has a first end and a second end. The first end of the ladder is pivotally connected to the platform and the second end is pivotally connected to the first end of the telescoping assemblies. The platform is configured to provide a work deck for personnel for use within the elevator hoistway. The work deck can be folded into a substantially flat package for ease of shipment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems and methods for processing payment transaction receipts. When an authorization request message for a transaction of a consumer is received, it is determined whether an account associated with the consumer's portable consumer device is enrolled in an electronic receipt program. If the account is enrolled, an electronic receipt for the transaction is sent to the consumer.

Abstract: Dispensing systems and methods are disclosed that provide controlled advancement of product and provide controlled access to product stored within the system. Embodiments include a product pushing device having a track and a pusher that urges product stored on the track forward. Certain embodiments include mechanisms to limit the forward progression of the pusher along the track, such as a brake mechanism, and certain embodiments include mechanisms to block access to product located on the track. Some embodiments include mechanisms for providing a time delay in between the vending of products.

Abstract: An auto-centering structural bearing transfers vertical loads to a supporting structure while preventing transfer of lateral loads. In one embodiment, the structural bearing includes: parallel lower, middle, and upper bearing plates; a lower roller bed sandwiched between the lower and middle bearing plates and laterally displaceable in a first direction; an upper roller bed sandwiched between the middle and upper bearing plates and laterally displaceable in a second direction; lower centering means including springs compressible by lateral displacement of the middle bearing plate and the lower roller bed in the first direction; and upper centering means comprising springs compressible by lateral displacement of the upper bearing plate and the upper roller bed in the second direction. Upon removal of loads causing such lateral displacements, the springs will rebound to their unstressed states, thereby returning the displaced bearing plates and roller beds to their centered positions.

Abstract: A system for providing state awareness across communication channels and statefully transitioning a user between a source channel and a destination channel is disclosed. The method may comprise storing a unique identifier associated with the user and data associated with the user, retrieving the data associated with the user based upon the user identifier and in response to the user entering the destination channel that is different from the source channel, and populating the data associated with the user in the destination channel. The destination channel may comprise a display of a customer service representative, and the populating may occur automatically. Furthermore, the method may comprise placing a call to a telephone number associated with the user in response to at least one of the user answering a requisite number of questions in the source channel and the user requesting a transition to a voice destination channel.

Abstract: The VIRTUAL WALLET CARD SELECTION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“VWCS”) transform virtual wallet card selections by users utilizing mobile devices via VWCS components into virtual wallet card-based transaction purchase notifications. In one implementation, the VWCS obtains a user authentication request for a purchase transaction, and extracts a universal card account number from it. Upon querying a database, the VWCS determines that the user has access to a virtual wallet and obtains virtual wallet card selection options for the user from the database. The VWCS provides the virtual wallet card selection options to a user mobile device, and obtains a user selection of an account included among the options. The VWCS initiates a purchase transaction using the user selection. Also, upon completion of authorization of the purchase transaction, the VWCS provides a purchase receipt to the user mobile device.

Abstract: Method(s) and system(s) for managing orders in liner based services are described herein. The method includes receiving a request for booking a shipment order. The shipment order may include booking an empty liner slot and an empty container. The method includes determining, based on an operational plan, temporal and geographical availabilities of empty liner slots and empty containers to promise the request. The operational plan is generated by evaluating availabilities and reservations of the empty liner slots to optimize revenues. Further, the operational plan is generated by performing a configurable search over the multiple dimensions and optimal intra-regional repositioning of empty containers. The method also includes providing a response to the request, based on the determination. Further, the method includes executing the request, upon acceptance of the request and continuous gathering and updating of the status of orders, demands and supplies as well as business parameters.

Abstract: A system includes a digital camera coupled with or integrated within a transaction terminal to capture an image during authorization of a transaction initiated at the transaction terminal. The system further includes a portal configured to receive the image and transmit the image to a communication reference associated with the account information of an account in which the transaction is made, based on a security preference associated with the account information. The image may be optionally analyzed to detect fraudulent use of the account.

Abstract: An LED light and communication system includes at least one optical transceiver, the optical transceiver including a light support and a processor. The light support has a plurality of light emitting diodes and at least one photodetector attached thereto. The processor is in communication with the light emitting diodes and the at least one photodetector, where the processor is constructed and arranged to illuminate at least one of the light emitting diodes to generate a light signal which in turn includes at least one embedded data packet. The at least one embedded data packet communicates global positioning system (GPS) location information.
