Abstract: A system for facilitating parcel delivery is provided. They system comprises a delivery platform mounted to a structure and positioned at a first height. The delivery platform comprises a delivery surface. The delivery surface has an elevated surface, and in some embodiments, a stationary surface. The elevated surface is capable of raising and lowering via a lift cable. Further, the elevated surface is capable of receiving a parcel from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) configured to transport and release the parcel. Upon receipt of the parcel, the elevated surface having the parcel is lowered to a second height that is less than the first height in which the delivery platform is positioned.

Abstract: A system determines that a primary event processor, included in a primary data center, is associated with a failure. The primary event processor is included in the primary data center and configured to process first events stored in a main event store of the primary data center. The system identifies a secondary event processor, in a secondary data center, that is to process one or more first events based on the failure. The primary event processor and the secondary event processor are configured to process a same type of event. The system causes, based on a configuration associated with the primary or secondary event processor, the one or more first events to be retrieved from one of the main event store or a replica event store. The replica event store is included in the secondary data center and mirrors the main event store of the primary data center.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving the security of computer authentication using light communications data provided by, e.g., environmental Li-Fi light sources. A mobile device may receive light communications data from a light source, such as a Li-Fi-enabled light bulb in a physical environment of the mobile device. That light communications data may indicate a variation in a modulation of light intensity of the light source over a time period. That variation might be used to provide a time- and/or location-specific key. The mobile device may determine the key by processing the light communications data and transmit a request for content that comprises the key. Access to content may be provided to the mobile device based on the key.

Abstract: An aerosol generating system includes a first housing, a second housing, and a third housing. The first housing defines a first passage and includes a liquid storage portion configured to contain an aerosol generating substrate. The second housing defines a second passage configured to be fluidly coupled to the first passage. The first passage and the second passage define an aerosol flow path. The second housing includes a heating element configured to heat the aerosol generating substrate. The third housing defines an inner chamber and an outlet. The inner chamber of the third housing is configured to receive at least the first housing. The third housing defines an air flow path between the third housing and at least the first housing. The air flow path is fluidly coupled to the outlet.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable the generation and use of secure offline tokens for account activity authentication. A processor receives an activity record including activity details including an entity identifier. The processor determines a flight booking associated with the activity record when the entity identifier includes an airline, and determines flight data associated with the flight booking. The processor automatically generates an offline token associated with the user account, including account access restrictions. The account access restrictions include a token activation period that binds the offline token to a duration of the flight, and a token entity binding that binds the offline token to use with the airline for performing in-flight account activity requests. The processor automatically causes a computing device to download the offline token to enabling performing the in-flight account activity requests with the entity during the offline token activation period.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for generating real-time dynamic conversational responses during conversational interactions using machine learning models based on historic intents for a plurality of users and user-specific interactions. The machine learning models comprise a neural network trained to select a first intent from a plurality of intents based on historic data accumulated prior to the conversational interaction and a neural network trained to select a first interaction-specific intent from a plurality of interaction-specific intents based on interaction-specific data for a user.

An example method of manufacturing a heat-shrink elastomeric element comprises providing a thermoplastic elastomeric element having a first shape; modifying the thermoplastic elastomeric element to produce a thermoset elastomeric element having the first shape; heating the thermoset elastomeric element to a temperature of at least the glass transition temperature of the thermoset elastomeric element; adjusting the first shape of the thermoset elastomeric element to produce a second shape with at least one dimension greater than that of the first shape; and cooling the thermoset elastomeric element to a temperature below that of the glass transition temperature of the thermoset elastomeric element to produce the heat-shrink elastomeric element.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are modified NK cells, compositions comprising modified NK cells, and methods for treating a tumor or hyperproliferative disease in a subject. In some embodiments, the modified NK cells include NK cells including a heterologous nucleic acid molecule encoding a CD16 protein comprising a valine at amino acid position 158 (CD16-V158), a heterologous nucleic acid molecule encoding a CCR7 protein, or both. In some embodiments, methods include treating a subject with a tumor by administering a composition comprising an anti-cancer monoclonal antibody and administering a composition comprising the modified NK cells to the subject. Also disclosed are methods of making modified NK cells by obtaining a population of NK cells from a subject and transfecting the population of NK cells with a heterologous nucleic acid molecule encoding CD16-V158, a heterologous nucleic acid molecule encoding a CCR7 protein, or both.
